Yeah, noticed we're behind schedule here again lol. Met office predicts 23c for maltby at the moment online for this hour but it's only approaching 19c here, so a couple degrees down. They think it'll get to 31 here today so I'll be watching closely -
Sheffield certainly was hotter than here today it seems. Maxed out at 29.9 and now down to 28.8c Hope it cools off quickly like it did yesterday and it should be a nice evening. I'll try and spot a shooting star after dark again. Didn't manage to catch one yesterday!

Not made 30 here yet. Decent breeze today though so mixing things up a bit too much maybe?

It does seem to have cooled down each night a little more than expected. Noted that the meto website had me down for 15c each night recently but it's been lower than that, 13c last night for example. I'm obviously happy with that as it's been lovely to sleep in after having Windows open in the evening to cool it down. But I agree, I think the slightly lower than expected starting point each day has held us off getting into the 30s

Slightly cooler by a degree or so here then yesterday... Can't see the 37 over the weekend that the BBC keep showing on the TV for our area

Smashed past 30 again here, currently 31.3c Another clear blue sky day! Been spoilt with those this past few weeks

Crept above 30c here today, just after half 4 this afternoon. Another one to add to the tally for this year! Going to be a few more this week by the looks of it

Nearly 7mm here today, quite a lot really and it was lovely to see and hear heavy rain for a while this morning

11mm recorded here in last 24 hours which has just taken me over 30mm for the monthly total. That's very low obviously. Let's see what August brings...

South Yorkshire missed today's rain for the most part. Only 2mm recorded here in last 24h. We did get some last few days though. Very muggy air right now out there

Been quite wet here today, rained all morning and then some heavy showers late evening. 4mm recorded but nice to see the ground and garden soaked. Cooler too at only 17c max briefly

Few spots of rain here recently and temp is down to 27c but it feels even worse than last night upstairs in the house

Down to 29.8 here now so gone sub 30. Hope it keeps dropping for a bit better night than last night

Didn't quite make it here, topped out at 39.7c lol but very close! So close but still a crazy temp for my area. Been an interesting few days, thanks for all joining in and making it fun as we always do in this thread Temps coming down now here, hope the breeze keeps up and we can open the windows later on and clear some of the heat out. Still looks like an uncomfortable night to come though with temps still around 20 min

30c here now and not even 10am! That's incredible in it's own right. May not see this again for a while. Min here was 22.3c overnight so I'm sure that will be a record for round here. Crazy Didn't sleep very well either

What are the overnight records for our area? Not sure on those. I know Sheffield only just set a new one a few weeks back didn't it? Looks widely like a tropical night anyway and would be interesting to see if the records go

Well scrap that, temps just went up to 37.2 just now at 7pm. Strange but there we go Surely we're going to smash 40 tomorrow?
