  1. Where is this from Roy? This is the latest Meto forecast... This Evening and Tonight: Further wintry showers possible overnight. Mainly rain or sleet on coasts, but some snow on hills, especially Kent, perhaps giving localised slight accumulations. Icy stretches likely on untreated roads and pavements. Minimum Temperature -1C. Wednesday: A good deal of cloud with further showers of rain or sleet at low levels, and snow on hills. Feeling particularly cold in the brisk breeze. Maximum Temperature 3C. Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Staying cold with overnight frosts and further wintry showers. Feeling especially cold on Friday due to a strong northeasterly wind. Perhaps turning a little less cold on Saturday. Updated at: 1419 on Tue 03 Feb 2015 ^^^^^^^^^ Now what worries me slightly is the lack of a mention for Thursday???
  2. I was thinking the same with the NE'ly currently but it does switch to a N this evening and through to the early hours.
  3. I wonder if anyone in the SE had the cheek to phone in work and state they are snowed in
  4. You won't see anything because your flight will be delayed due to heavy snowfall at Gatwick & Heathrow so you will be stuck in Marrakesh
  5. The next few frames will be interesting once released later today. Then look what that heavier batch in the first two charts show and compare it to the accumulation charts for our friends across the water !!!... IMO this is why the tv forecasts seem to be fence sitting at the moment, slight shift and boom chaos in our region.
  6. I have to be honest and say that this little snow event turned out better than I thought it was going to when I was looking at things around 11pm last night when we missed the main band as it moved across more SW. As for the next few days we just need to wait till it kicks off in the North Sea and take it from there imo.
  7. Have we had any updates from Ian F regarding what the meto are looking at? Not had time to search the MO thread.
  8. Surrey sorry to be a pain, but as I'm working now I cannot get time to look at the GFS precipitation charts, I wondered if you have seen them and whether they look good for us tomorrow into Thursday when we get the NE/E'ly
  9. Can't get to get outside at mo but now looking like snizzle outside? EDIT: Nope..it's actually very very tiny fine snow
  10. I would take it back for a refund, that'll be too much salt sprinkled in
  11. Does that precipitation flow out from Holland? very exciting if so.....
  12. If I was Hampshire I wouldn't give up, look at the 3hr radar, it starts to take a more Southerly track rather than the SW.. http://www.meteoradar.co.uk/Home?type=rain_UK_forecast&time=201502030225
  13. Watching the meteox radar and I notice at the end of the frame something pops up near the North Kent Coast out of nowhere.... http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=loop1uur Then also i notice the precipitation actually slips more favourable for our Region around 03:00am
  14. This just about sums it up http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=loop1uur precipitation slipping SW but also SE, doing it's best to avoid these neck of the woods
  15. This is an example of the difference between surafce wind and those 700hpa that Daniel points out. 700hpa Surface
