Wednesday: A good deal of cloud with further showers of rain or sleet at low levels, and snow on hills. Feeling particularly cold in the brisk breeze. Maximum Temperature 3C. Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Staying cold with overnight frosts and further wintry showers. Feeling especially cold on Friday due to a strong northeasterly wind. I was thinking the same with the NE'ly currently but it does switch to a N this evening and through to the early hours.

You wouldn't of noticed it had snowed here now, totally clear.

You won't see anything because your flight will be delayed due to heavy snowfall at Gatwick & Heathrow so you will be stuck in Marrakesh

The next few frames will be interesting once released later today. Then look what that heavier batch in the first two charts show and compare it to the accumulation charts for our friends across the water !!!... IMO this is why the tv forecasts seem to be fence sitting at the moment, slight shift and boom chaos in our region.

I have to be honest and say that this little snow event turned out better than I thought it was going to when I was looking at things around 11pm last night when we missed the main band as it moved across more SW. As for the next few days we just need to wait till it kicks off in the North Sea and take it from there imo.

Have we had any updates from Ian F regarding what the meto are looking at? Not had time to search the MO thread.

Surrey sorry to be a pain, but as I'm working now I cannot get time to look at the GFS precipitation charts, I wondered if you have seen them and whether they look good for us tomorrow into Thursday when we get the NE/E'ly
