  1. If it`s white it could well be bird poo.... Happened to me last time I was near London
  2. But the hunt and the hope is part of the fun surely, if we knew what was going to happen 100% it would be pretty boring and I reckon this place would be fairly empty lol
  3. Oh right, so have wasted my time on here the last 48hrs then BTW not meaning to sound pedantic but usually we have peoples snow charts appearing by now !!
  4. Usually by now we would have Daniel*, Steve Murr and a few others getting excited, the lack of excitement here and elsewhere worries me slightly it has to be said.
  5. 3.2*c & DP 2*c Feels yeah.. Forecast for next 36hrs Mainly dry this afternoon. The odd wintry shower may drift across on the north-easterly breeze later this afternoon or evening but nothing significant is expected. Another fairly cold night. Tomorrow morning, a risk of the odd wintry shower again. Showers may continue across Kent into the evening but it should turn dry further west.Snow summary:This afternoon/tonight: No significant accumulations are expected.Tomorrow: Up to 1-2cm possible in any heavier showers. However, most will struggle to settle. Forecast for next 2 - 10 days Tomorrow, Wintry showers are likely to continue into the evening. A chilly night with temperatures falling below zero in places. Friday will be mainly dry but there may still be the odd isolated wintry shower. Saturday and Sunday will be largely dry. Occasional showers on Sunday. High pressure will continue to dominate through next week, leading to a lot of dry and settled weather. From @GrittingKent
  6. I see even the Daily Mirror have the South down for Heavy Snow today and tomorrow LOL
  7. If we see anything tonight (snow) I would take that as a massive bonus, I'm not expecting much till tomorrow but like you say with streamers who knows what tonight may bring.
  8. To me though Marie the text doesn't look to of changed in it :-/ ...I guess that's a positive though lol A wintry mix of sleet and snow showers are likely to extend inland across parts of eastern, southeastern and central England on Wednesday night into Thursday. These are likely to lead to icy stretches on untreated surfaces. Snow accumulations of 1-3 cm are also possible in places, mainly above 150 m with perhaps 8 cm over the North York Moors. Due to the showery nature of the flow many places will probably miss the snow. The public should be aware of the potential for disruption to travel. This is an update to start earlier on Wednesday evening with road surface temperatures falling below freezing then as well as extending the northern boundary to fully cover the North York Moors http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=warnings&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1423094400&regionName=se
  9. Someone with a better weather brain than me can you explain this... Looking at the Euro4 it looks like Northern France Calais for example will do we'll out of this, temps from -1 upto 2*c and that's on the coast HOWEVER what I notice is they are forecast snow from Thursday 04:00am till 13:00hrs, is this from the heavier precipitation that slips past the SE early Thursday? If so I'd be slightly worried that they are not expecting anything from the showers that hit us slightly later and continue South where as the precipitation prior to this gets stronger as it moves South down to them. To be fair the automated bbc forecast did ok for IMBY the last event and the one the other week, wasn't that far out and at present the symbols match the test.
  10. Pinch of salt and all that but my meto forecast for tomorrow has changed since yesterday, slightly for the better because yesterday it switched to just a sleet shower... Tomorrow: Light snow at 08:00am, then shows light rain showers early afternoon before turning back to light snow at 15:00 Now to me I can't see it being rain if it starts as snow as I'm forecast 2*c or 3*c in a NE'ly..DPs will be key yes. I know it will be a case of the models and then radar and observations but it's still nice when everything shows the same.
  11. I'm not expecting anything of note today tbh, tomorrow however is a different matter, we just need it to all come together at the right time with the right ingredients.
  12. The precipitation is there tomorrow so all eyes will be on temps & dp. With the direction of the wind tomorrow I can't see it being that warm apart from say in London wheres yes it may get to 5/6*c for a time. The timing of the showers could be key either we want them early or we need them to stall till late afternoon tomorrow.
  13. Ok cool, thanks both ^^ I'm not sure I can take another round so soon
  14. It is I agree but they have been hit and miss so hopefully the index forecast is wrong along with the tv forecasts, I reckon they will leave the warnings up just incase though. This bit of text in the warnings is what worried me.... " with many places probably missing the snow "
  15. When? I'm more concerned about the next 48hrs tbh because I have no idea what will happen
  16. Depends if you can trust it...for now I may just for the excitement
  17. When 48hrs away is so hard to forecast it makes you wonder why we look into FI constantly...Let alone argue and gfuqhgfpjh about it LOL
  18. We best hope it does come down to nowcast because to me it does not look that great for Thursday, I will happily be wrong.
  19. Euro4 I guess that's why the Meto have reduced alot of the hope for Thursday for most of the region apart from the far SE. The good news is there is still time for change, especially when a NE'ly in concerned.
  20. If anyone has been or does following the meto forecast (symbols/index) can you tell me whether yours has changed for Thursday into a boring load of pants? not actual pants for symbols LOL but from snow to just sleet and cloud.
  21. HOLY F**king Cow.... I know we take the meto forecast symbols with a pinch of salt...............BUT Thursday gone from snow for around 6hrs to erm a sleet shower IMBY lol
  22. Yes and also keep an eye on the batch above Hull near Newcastle and a N'ly should bring that down
