Do Amazon offer exchanges for dinghys instead? Hopefully not 6hrs wasted, just delayed!

Not fussed about the "rain" that'll be down in the Channel and SW...I'd be worried abiut it if I lived in Jersey.

GFS throws a spanner in the works, everything still in the balance.....who will come out on top?
It's going to be a day of flip flopping, would imagine the Mad thread will see a few barney rubbles.
I wouldn't be surprised if by this evening but more so tomorrow morning the GFS gets back on-board, but I'll keep my money in my pocket for now.
Enjoy the ride over the next few days!

The ECM is a thing of beauty for the majority of us, however a good 40% chance of going Pete Tong, plenty of caution needed before we start telling family, neighbours and colleagues HA!
Look at the 850Hpa's next Tuesday!

Can report in Boxley (top end) ..nothing! Also Medway as drove through.
The wind has picked up though..as exciting as it gets currently.

Remember that cold air meets warm air and you get a drop in humidity that drys the air, cold dry air will actually feel warmer than humid air.

I'd better get the sledge out and on the slopes at the crack of dawn before it all melts after breakfast lol.
Shame the front doesn't stall like yesterday, but beggars can't be choosers, make the most of the white stuff while it last, early night and set the alarm for 5am. Could be a while until the next opportunity.
Take some Eggs with you and fry them on the ground when it starts to warm up :)

Met office can’t make its mind up !!
since my first post this morning it has changed from snow to rain back to snow and now sleet
Now it’s saying all 3
I would just go by human input and the window!

I'm tempted to throw the freezer out in the garden, sit in it and make out I'm in an igloo.

A Kayak would be.more useful than a sledge here, on the outskirts of Maidstone.
Car saying 5*c

Am I the only one that thinks the ECM snow charts are as useful as a choccie teapot? Not sure I’ve ever seen it predict anything correctly. It would genuinely get a nowcast wrong
Do they not include freezing rain?

In other news, Quite Foggy around Medway....Again!!

Hi-resolution models suggesting snow from tomorrow lunchtime in the north west of the region that will extend southwards during the afternoon.
Harmonie
However there are divergences in the models. Euro4 for instance kills the precipitation by tomorrow lunchtime and west of this region.
In short a chance tomorrow to see snow falling, especially in northern parts of the region.
Fingers crossed for the timing CS, I'm hoping the models are underplaying the colder air. Early doors Saturday is an interesting feature too but the ECM not as bullish as the GFS for this in our Region.

Hate it when the esembles don't play ball, cracks appearing.
I hate writing anything off because imo always nice to have a glimmer of hope, but to me it looks like a complete flip.
One positive I guess is at least with no snow, more and more vaccinations can be done without travel disruption.

Rain, rain and more rain in Boxley, Medway/Maidstone.
Looking forward to some dry days!!

Wet and Cold Here, my biggest weather hate!...Such a shame it's not Snow .
When we get a NE'ly more often than not we don't have the precipitation, when we get both we then lack the final ingredients to put it on the table.
Keeping an interesting eye on tomorrow though.

Hi all, hope you had a good Christmas...what it could be anyway!
Finally a bit of excitement to watch over the next few weeks, I was really hoping for a White Christmas or New Years Eve snow falling at Midnight whilst watching the Fireworks

Is Steve Murr about?
If so how do you think it's looking for our area Steve? North/West Kent etc this afternoon?
Trip to the park be dodgy? It's been to hot for the dog recently but now we both don't want to get soaked, but he'll probably enjoy that, but hates Thunder

That clump over Northern France to me looks like it will go to our NW for many of us unless we start to see it coming from Belgium
-
It's looking like I'm needing the storms to fire up over the Belgium/France border to get to my Maidstone/Medway location.
Everything passing further West.

At this stage I'd just bank some proper rain, something to give a fresher feel for a bit.
Hopefully nothing too torrential, flooding would be an issue for many areas.

Gone quiet here in Boxley too, feeling quite mild also.
Few trees down in the Country Lanes and Flooding also

Please can all posters indicate their location.
Go to your profile at top right of page and add or amend. Thanks.
And also include it in the actual post, those tablets and mobiles the location doesn't show even if it's set in the profile.
Picking up here in Boxley (Maidstone), Bluebell Hill was moving but slight caution. I expect a few trees will be down around here later.
