Looking at the latest met office I’m not feeling it for overnight now.
I got a strong suspicion we are in for rain.
I wouldn't worry what they show at this stage, outskirts of Maidstone had 2 to 3 heavy(ish) snow flurries Between 12 and 3 this afternoon, App said cloud!!
Respectable 20p sized flakes....just a bit wettish

The 12Z still fancies a load of snow this afternoon into tonight, I am going to call it now, nothing.
Bring on the warm!
No Meto warning of it yet so we may have a chance

Snow in Spring is not usually my thing, however it feels like one last chase for the season.
Many of us will probably be left disappointed, but it's the chase that keeps us going...surely?
A lot of curtain twitching going on across the Region overnight tonight!

Just as the models start to say no again the BBC App starts to.put out snow symbols for the 11th/12th
It's going to be a long 10/14 days lol
-
It's certainly been a good winter for frosts! Keeping in mind some Winters have passed by without a single proper hard frost.
Another one to look forward to tomorrow morning!!

BBC wants Bexhill to drop to -7c tonight... that would be the coldest night since 2018 I'm fairly sure!
And then take into account the feel like temperatures!! Bbbbrrrrr.....I would imagine a hard frost hanging about all day tomorrow in shaded areas, same for Wednesday and Thursday.

Damp, dull and chilly.
We should be seeing some winter sunshine though over the next dew days, that's a bonus I guess.

Temps up nearly a degree in past hour or so and it's heaving down big ol' raindrops. If only it were a little colder.
Not unusual with Snow events, those that turn from rain to snow that is!

Regarding the December snowfall, what was an unusual experience was the fog beforehand and a slight milder feeling leading up to the snowfall we experienced in Maidstone/Medway.

If we hadn't have had the snow in December, I think more interest would be shown in the upcoming feature.
Snow for some in the SE corner, cold rain also but then it looks to be generally a cold couple of days, decent winter sunshine and some frosts....I'll take that over the mild damp rubbish of late.
Certainly feel the nip in the air this morning.

Gotta say it the wind and rain is really starting to do my head in, the brown grass and belly-aching about the lack of rain in July is a very distant memory….
Tell me about it, gave up working outside in it just after lunch! Tomorrow looks a better day before more rain on Thursday, at least I get a day to dry out!!
On the plus side my weather app shows some sleety mess for next week, I'll look forward to that (with a large pinch of salt)

I take the weather apps with a pinch of salt BUT first time it's given me -10*c overnight low!!!!

Might be worth keeping an eye on a lamp post this evening for some of you more Southern Folk

Very picturesque scenes this morning, snow clinging to Trees etc...but a thaw is taking place, I can imagine very dangerous driving conditions later this evening when temperatures drop.
-
One thing I noticed is no gritters noticed on my route....but then again, it is a Sunday!!...overtime rates?

One lousy cm here just north of Colchester! Think it's time for bed. Can hear melt water pouring off the trees outside my front door.
Don't left off a Fart DJ, it'll melt it more!!!!

Can already hear it dripping and thawing out there.
Is that the fog already rolling back in?
-
I'm happy with what I've got, small covering, got home just in time.....it's just how long can it keep going for and if any fog creates a sudden quick thaw.
-
I wonder how long this will stay on the ground for? Temperature staying below zero but the App telling me more Mist and Fog once this passes through?
A quick drip drip thaw by morning?

Still nothing in Bearsted
I'm travelling from Rochester to Boxley in a moment....it's Foggy

Medway still has Fog, should I be concerned?

Is it me but the further inland it gets the more it’s seeming to struggle the last half hour it’s been dying off or turning to rain as it approaches Maidstone and the surrounding areas… Or am I just overthinking it? Lol
Often seem to have a shield over us as it progressed towards Blue Bell Hill...as Lauren mentioned earlier.
Fingers crossed.

I imagine Bluebell Hill will do it's usual job of keeping any snow away from Medway.
I'm not sure what to make of this Fog still Lauren!

Does anyone have some latest Dew Point readings please? I'm intrigued by this thick fog and what it's doing to the DPs around North Kent.

A good covering around Boxley, Lordswood and Walderslade.
At least in those areas people will learn to ignore what symbols are shown on Apps....looking at the amount of cars parked on verges, some would have been taken by surprise it seems.
