well at least I have seen some snow in this latest will it won't it scenario! Not much mind and alternating between graupel and large flakes. Coming in on a straight easterly off the sea at the moment which might possibly lead to something a little more interesting later on in the evening. Current temp. 0.6c dewpoint -0'7c

Well, no snow blower will be required today me thinks. Crystal clear skies again and temp currently -5.4c - dewpoint at -7.4c and no wind. No frost either! I'm off to Edinburgh today for a check-up so at least the roads shouldn't be a problem.

Snow depth is measured using a snow depth sensor which measures the distance from the sensor and the ground beneath it An ultrasonic transducer transmits pulses and listens for the returning echoes from the surface!!... which is... One o' them...

Dew point -1.8c here. Didn't expect that to be so low at this point? Not that I understand it fully! I mean i've only been on here since 2004!

Hello all. Nice morning here at the moment but cloud creeping in now unfortunately. It should be a week of keeping an eye on developments I think. Here's hoping for an interesting outcome.

Morning all. I think it would be a brave person to try and unravel any/all weather predictions at the moment. I have a feeling that none of the forecasts have a handle on future prospects. Yesterday, Fife forecast had it turning colder next week but not as cold as being forecasted today. The quick rise to double figures predicted yesterday by Fife for the coming Friday, has now changed to overnight -4c and only achieving 3c for a couple of hours thereafter. Beyond Friday is remaing low. So... back to the daily updates from me at the moment until things become a LOT clearer. (From a Fife perspective of course.)
