  1. Morning. Not quite a cut and paste from yesterday's pic as it is warmer at 16.9c. Still dreich though. A chink of brightness showing on the St Andrews skycam.
  2. That's unfortunate MS. Surprised you haven't considered Blairgowrie area (if it's snaw you're after? and we all know it is!) It can get REALLY cold and snowy there!
  3. Morning. Think it may clear up a little later for the central belt though - at least according to a forecast I saw later last night? As 101 said, cloudy and feeling a bit cool here at the moment. Current temp of 13.4c. Things drying up nicely now after a few showers earlier on.
  4. Netweather has lost one of its 'characters'. His humour was amazing considering his personal struggles. Whenever I look up at the clouds Puffy, I will think of you. RIP.
  5. Morning. Bit of a cut and paste job from yesterday i'm afraid. Looks like it may dry up a bit here come afternoon though. Tomorrow looking a tad better with the chance of us catching a bit of brightness/sunshine.
  6. Morning. Lots of crash, bang, wallops and flashes from early evening/overnight. Not much rain to begin with but overnight must have been heavier as there is a steady drip of water coming from the bottom of all of the hanging baskets. Things looking a bit flattened in the garden too. Things will perk up again though once it dries up a bit.
  7. Pretty clear here at the moment but looking at the webcams to the east, it won't last.
  8. Morning. Think it will burn back fully today as it appears to have already started to in St. Andrews. Anstruther and Aberdour clearing too. Looks as if I will have to wait a wee bit longer.
  9. Hello 101. I see you have acquired a crown during my absence! Well done!
  10. Hello folks! Just spent the last week nursing hubby. After 2 1/2 years free, covid finally caught up with him. Oh of course, he was dying (according to him). It's a man thing isn't it? Anyhoo, he is out cutting the grass. I guess he is on the mend! So... what about all this heat then? (sod's law that I have missed most of it!) It hasn't been overly intense here which is good. Temps have been hovering around the 25c/26c with which I can just about cope! Had I been posting this week, it would have been a cut and paste job! Oh, look at that, lowest it has been at this time of day all week! That E breeze must be keeping it cooler.
  11. Morning all. Quite a nice one it is too for a change with plenty of blue sky. Currently 15.5c with westerly wind at 4.mph. Have included some other of the webcam pics around Fife.
  12. Oh God, not again! To be fair, it would have come into its own at the beginning of last year had I not done my shoulder in! It would have had around 18" to shift! ALL IS NOT LOST!! - (although admittedly it is close.)
  13. Currently socked in with cloud here with a temp of 14.7c. I live in hope!
  14. Hmm... feeling quite humid today - 84%. 20.2c with a stiff breeze. Sun breaking through now though so we will see what the rest of the day brings. "A guid drouth day" relating to good for drying the washing I believe? At least it is always the topic of conversation amongst the women in the Co-op queue! So off to test the theory and hang the washing out! Marks out of 10 around 5pm.
  15. You pig! I haven't used the damn thing since it was bought in 2010. But you know that don't you? 12 years I've suffered the scorn on here! Thanks for the welcome back though. It's great to be here again.
  16. Morning all. Pretty nice day appears to be on the cards with temps currently sitting around 15c. Spent most of this year, weather permitting, in the garden on different projects. I was getting pretty fed up with how it was. We added a summer house, (which is pretty much our pub) and then found that we needed to add an outside toilet to save running back and forth to the house for nature calls (it's a man thing isn't it? when the beer flows!) Put in a new seating area and replaced some of the herbaceous beds and perennials. Added in some new electrics as well. Quite happy with the way it has turned out and it is looking quite colourful too. One more corner area to do (next year) and that should do it. Will post some pics.
  17. You don't say! We have had visitors all afternoon so hubby has missed the first half. He is now waiting impatiently for the second half to begin. Covid free here too!
  18. Sun starting to peep through now. I might have been a bit premature with my prediction of another day of 'permagloom' Our attic was done about 3 years ago thank goodness. Probably do a check around the place before winter sets in though. I trust you have been well and moved forward successfully from your 'hopalong' stage?
  19. Morning all. Well what a difference a day makes! Out of the permagloom yesterday and today, a return to the permagloom!
  20. Bang on for central Fife too. This summer (so far) will go down for me as cloudy, day, after day. after day with a cool wind. The unusual thing about the set up though was that it always cleared around tea time and left a sunny (though very cool) evening. With the exception of the 'heatwave' which it wasn't because we only managed 2 days of high temperatures here with one or two sunny days scattered around, that's been it! Exceptionally dry tho' which has been noticeable in this area for some time. August hasn't been good here for quite a few years either so not looking for much improvement going forward. Happy to be proved wrong though! Highest temp achieved today was 22,2c.
  21. Morning folks. Started off cloudy and rainy but has now cleared. Temps up to just over 20c and sunny. Hopeful for the rest of the day.
