  2. Well, the chart you put up for the expected water levels around my area were spot on! Here's hoping these will be too!
  3. Still seesawing around here! Temp gone up from 1.4c this morning at 11am to 2.1c now. DP up only slightly to 1.5c. Wind ENE/12.1mph/1016. Never thought the day would come when I got excited at sleet falling! (now and again) Kinda pointless for a webcam pic, you wouldn't notice the difference from this morning's. But, here it is anyway:
  4. Funny you should say that. We have, what I like to call our sookerupperer which has the blowing facility also. I think they all do. Never used it! As you say, pointless.
  5. Speaking of which...When I went to bed last night around 11ish, our road was in total darkness. (because street lights were out ) At least our section was but further up was okay. Up at 6.30/ 7am and they were still out.. Hope they are fixed soon, because that would mean my main precipitation type observational tool opposite my window would be wiped out! Bad timing or what?!
  6. Thinking of buying one? Because........I.......Fill in the blanks!!
  7. I do apologise Hawesy, posted my apology up thread when I noticed. (with a special request)
  8. You missed out Big Innes (teacher's pet!) He sits on top of a fekin hill! I'm not sure of the spelling for that! Apologies. just noticed him up the top there! Couldn't you maybe give him 125cm? That way he'll be buried and we won't see him till Spring!... Thanks in advance!
  9. Fir fox sake, how/why do you blatantly get away with it?!! I think I might have a word with my MP!! Discrimination?
  10. Apology accepted (just) What a wondrous sight to behold you have up there! Enjoy!
  11. Yep. What Big Innes said. (Finally) Please Miss, he also said the same bad word as I did the other day (and got away with it) The swear filter accused me of ' swearing again' I guess it must be in a better mood today!! Surprisingly though, all the stats here are exactly the same as yesterday 1.8c/1.4c/ENE. Even the web cam pic is exactly the same! Obviously a change on now though, "I can feel it in my WATER!" which is all gone now by the way!
  12. Absolutely NO detail whatsoever on BBC 6pm forecast for Saturday and Sunday as far as Scotland is concerned. Plenty detail for East Anglia though! I shall console myself with the thought that they're feart that they get it wrong (again)!! 2.2c/1.8c which is down slightly. Still raining tho' Latest total for today is 19.2mm.
  13. Would you really? That there was a double hit my friend!! See they sherps that you returned to the hospital the day? Well, I hope that wan accidentaly fell oot and you find it when you sit doon on yer most comfortable chair!
  14. 2.7c/2.3c/rain lighter. So... things pretty static here.
  15. Ta Dah! Well pleased! Pumping system worked! Pumping chamber bottom left of picture chamber lid middle right! Last pic, I was standing up at the fir tree which I certainly couldn't have done last August. In addition to the chamber, there was a couple of 2'x4' soak-a ways put in under gazebo frame. Once precipitation stops, aye, ok! water will disappear quickly. Been in this house 15years now, last year, and now this year, being the first times we've had to deal with flooding! Welcome to AGW folks! Certainly not the disaster the snowblower was!! (is, might be, maybe not, we'll see!) Actually, I don't even know if it's still in the garage. Hubby may have chucked it in disgust! ( My get out clause!)
  16. Okay... Couple of pics from last August which forced us to put in the pumping system. Didn't take these pics until the weather broke a bit and the water was starting to recede. It was actually almost up to the border at the fir tree (top right) The garden is on a gradient, so the water/mud mark on the gazebo frame in front of the wall (bottom left) measured 4'3". (deepest part.) Off out now to take some pics of what we have today.
  17. Ever get the feeling that Met Office warnings have become somewhat reactive as opposed to proactive? I am just going to ignore, because it will change back once it starts snowing again!!
  18. 3.1c/2.7c/1010mb/E/15mph/rain still Swearing AGAINing ! Aw c.mon!! that was mild!! " Just cause" and all that!! with today's total (so far) sitting at 13.4mm. Haven't been down the garden yet, but can see that it is flooded. Nothing like the depths that we had to cope with last August though. The pumping chamber lid appears to have floated off somewhere, so we will have to go and retrieve that! So, thankfully, no snorkel, wet suit and flippers required this time round! (Waders maybe) Will post some pics later.
  19. 3.6c/3.3c/and a further 7mm of rain since midnight, added to the 47.2mm total for yesterday = a grand total of 54.2mm and rising. To add insult to injury, that orange 'blob' on the radar over Fife, appears to have stalled because it has been sitting in the exact same position for ages when running the animation. Dreading inspecting the water level in the garden once it's light enough! So... I wonder what delights are in store for us today?
