    Well the jet is not exactly roaring away to the north of us. Still many options both good and bad on the table.

    The ECM ENS certainly don't close the door on extended cold. The well worn phrase 'all to play for' springs to mind.

    Longer term FI looks ugly and unfortunately the ENS and Pros are fairly confident it will verify. Still we have a week or so to enjoy in the meantime.

    The block to the NE is proving to be ever more resilient over a snow covered entrenched cold Scandinavia & Central / E Europe. This has been lacking in recent years. Long may it last !

    ECM ENS show a shift of the mean to cold from 12z yesterday to 00z today. With both the Op & Control ditching the mild after 23rd 12z 18/11 00z 10/11
