  1. 06z now wants to go uebermild. May not end up as bad as it looks at first glance. WAA & all that jazz.
  2. ICON has the block with more steroids than the big 3 this morning
  3. Exeter with one eyebrow slightly raised then "Perhaps a greater chance of a longer cold spell late in the period."
  4. Certainly looking very wet, windy and mild according to GFS 12z so far. Let's hope ICON 12z is more on the money!
  5. Well the jet is not exactly roaring away to the north of us. Still many options both good and bad on the table.
  6. The ECM ENS certainly don't close the door on extended cold. The well worn phrase 'all to play for' springs to mind.
  7. Longer term FI looks ugly and unfortunately the ENS and Pros are fairly confident it will verify. Still we have a week or so to enjoy in the meantime.
  8. This is exactly the kind of battleground profile we want for upping the odds on a potential decent snow dump at some stage. Patience maybe...
  9. The block to the NE is proving to be ever more resilient over a snow covered entrenched cold Scandinavia & Central / E Europe. This has been lacking in recent years. Long may it last !
  10. The Atlantic is running up against the block to the NE on the 06z and the trough to the west looks like disrupting under it - good to see.
  11. There's a significant minority of ECM ENs prolonging the cold into December
  12. Dartmoor and Exmoor would be the places to be if this verified, Salisbury Plain even
  13. Ths Pert from the 12z GEFS would be fun for the south & a few others I'd hazard.
  14. ECM ENS show a shift of the mean to cold from 12z yesterday to 00z today. With both the Op & Control ditching the mild after 23rd 12z 18/11 00z 10/11
  15. Average to possibly coolish at times And pretty unsettled. Certainly nothing of any wintry note to come apart from the high ground i the north maybe at first.
