  1. For those who may have missed it, Nick issued an updated storm forecast this morning - continuing with a moderate risk of severe storms through today http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=convective;sess=
  2. Please don't just upload photos from twitter, linking to the tweet is the way to go! Thanks Paul
  3. There is certainly a fairly high risk of you seeing something tonight - can't be more definite as storms are unpredictable beasts I'm afraid
  4. For those who may not have seen it, Nick issued a storm forecast earlier - moderate risk of severe storms. http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=convective;sess=
  5. Just the odd 12,000 lightning strikes in the last hour coming through from the storms just making landfall on the south coast - it's going to get pretty wild.. http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=lightning;sess=
  6. When it comes to storms which are imports from France, they're often most likely to develop during the afternoon or early evening there, so if they're headed north they'll more than likely take into the early hours to reach north England.
  7. If you fancy a moan about the current storm setup, the lack of storms in your location, the fact you don't like storms or anything else storm related please head over to our new moaning thread to have a vent! http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/80922-no-storms-hate-storms-post-your-storm-related-moans-and-groans-here/ From here on in, any moaning, complaining etc in this thread will be removed so please make sure that if you want to have a good old moan up about things to head over there
  8. Fancy a moan about the current storm setup, the lack of storms, the fact you really don't like storms or anything else storm related please feel free to vent in here. Don't forget though that all the normal forum guidelines apply!
  9. Have edited some posts, and deleted some posts. Will be pm'ing those involved Agree with this view though - people are welcome to praise and criticise as they wish, although in some cases when people are using every single post just to moan about the met (or indeed someone else) it gets a bit tedious for people reading it - that's all.
  10. Our old certificate expired yesterday but the server was updated with a new one a week ago, so I assume your browser is caching and retrieving the old one for some reason.
  11. It's the arrows that can be used to cycle back and forward through the timeslots - on the v4 radar the futureradar will only load on an unzoomed view though
  12. We do have a future radar for the next hour on the system which is accessed by clicking the right arrow past the latest time. Beyond the hour the radar becomes less useful as a lot can change - showers can develop, fronts can decay or pep up and so on, so for that it's better to use the rainfall forecast from the models - particularly the NMM viewer (for full and lite subscribers) as that has an hour by hour forecast. We are considering adding a viewer for the NMM rain forecast onto the rain radar for the upcoming hours, but this isn't in the development plan in terms of an eta yet.
  13. Ah, am seeing this now on the zooms. We're looking into the problem.
  14. I'm not seeing that to be honest, no dramatic changes, can you post a screen shot up?
  15. We were running some maintenance for about a minute there, it's all done now!

  18. The twelve hour rain totals show how the band has stalled and given some parts quite a soaking. Like Steve says, wouldn't be surprised at all if there was some local flooding.
  19. Jo has blogged about Neguri this morning: http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=news;storyid=6010;sess=
  20. If someone abuses the pm system in some way then it's switched off, but that isn't automatically the case if someone has a posting restriction. People can also choose to switch the pm system off themselves if they wish, so it could also be that.
  21. Unbelievable... Locking this for the time being.
  22. Just for the sake of clarity and to stop people ending up with posting restrictions and the like, please have a read of the forum guidelines, noting the parts about being 'nice' to people and showing respect for others opinions. http://forum.netweather.tv/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules
  23. Yep a bit pants that - we've made a change to the model physics just now which has speeded up the convective development a tad.
