  1. Yes mainly for Ice caused by Rain,Sleet & Snow mix. Max 10cm
  2. Main band is still moving North East. http://www.meteogroup.co.uk/uk/home/weather/radar/united_kingdom.html
  3. Thanks, actually it looks to be more near Sevenoaks on your radar !!
  4. seems to be a small development forming around Epsom, surrey looking at the past 30 minutes. Can anybody confirm this? http://www.raintoday.co.uk/
  5. Quite strange, the temp has actually dropped from 2c to 0.5c as the clear slot passes through North Kent.
  6. You wouldn't believe all this weather thats being banded around...here in Gravesend its sunny, calm and around +2c. Slow thaw atm.
  7. Yes.......I just checked at the Ian Brown Meteorology website and Ealing will receive 12,344,567,232 flakes of snow today. This equates to approx 4.7mg of C02. Your Council Tax energy tariff will be incremented accordingly.
  8. Dont know how accurate XCWeather is but its currently reporting Rain in Hereford at -4c and Snow in Alderney ( Channel Island ) at +2c !!!
  9. I'd side with the MO over GFS for precipitation at this range any day. 90% certain of good snowfall widely across the SE tomorrow night. Current Temp -1.3c
  10. Yes it is. Wednesday and Thursday's warnings are maintained also, though it must be stressed that these are MODERATE and not HIGH risks.
  11. Met Office SWW for the SE updated and upgraded for tomorrow!! Outbreaks of sleet and snow will become heavier during Tuesday afternoon and evening, with an increasing risk of disruption to transport networks. GFS 6z op disgarded
  12. Hope you are right mate. However in order to back up their forecasts, standard procedure would dictate an updated SWW to compliment this as the event is only 24-48 hours away.
  13. They've run out of pink ink !! This is not reflective of projected DAM & 850's which show snow for the mainland of UK. Maybe one of the senior forecasters here would like to pass comment on this projection ???
  14. Sorry no..based on all runs since yesterdays 06z when they initially issued their warning. If their own models show increased precipaitation from Tues to Friday in the SE then I would expect the SWW to be upgraded as per normal process. We can then happily disgard the 06z op.
  15. We've had an abundance of "tasteful scenario's" from all the models in the past two weeks. Apart from Scotland there has not been really significant snowfall, with most forecasts either downgrading precipitation or marginalising temperatues the nearer time approaches. Wonderful cold synoptics yes, but little else from this spell to date apart from showers.
  16. Well the 06z op downgrades precipitation in the SE corner considerably between 24-96 hours. I would guess a total snow coverage of around 5cm tops by Saturday based on this run. Little or no precipitation tonight or from tomorrows front. Weds to Fri sees fewer showers penetrating inland due to the greater Northerly wind component. Cold yes, memorable snow event,no, not by this run. Will be interesting to see if the MO update their SWW's for the SE in the next hour or so. If they dont then I would say that the downgrading is more than probable.
  17. Small mild sector to the west of the trough may give initial rain to the far west and Ireland. Mostly Snow though. Look at the latest UK Fax for detail.
  18. Snow should be with you shortly Kold. Its moving up the A13 !!
  19. Everything covered here now. Temp still -0.3c. Current shower appears to be merging with a larger cell currently over Canvey Island. Interesting development. http://www.raintoday.co.uk/
  20. Moderate Snow in Gravesend now. Showers are still intensifying and heading East to West. South Essex and North/East Kent appear to be the firing line
  21. Light Snow falling now in Gravesend. Temp -0.3c steady. Showers are now moving from an Easterly direction.
  22. Isn't it always the same though? The other side of the coin though is that the shower activity in the Thames Estuary appears to be intensifying and turning more Easterly. So maybe some more precipitation for this evening than was expected.
  23. Huge anvils developing over Eastern Kent atm. Not enough East in the flow to bring inland unfortunately
  24. Huge anvils developing over Eastern Kent. Wish they would move inland more
