  1. Forecasts have varied all day. I think its a case of far enough north but not far enough West for you im afraid. I would give you an hour of snow followed by an hour of sleet then rain
  2. Should be with you in 20 mins! No sign of sleet just light flurries at the mo. Think Fri will be better for us
  3. Your officialy 1st! Just starting to see flurries here in Stevenage so will start the clock. What are views on Fri Steve as this seems to upgrading at the moment?
  4. Chucking it down here in north Herts now. Huge clump of snow moving in across the East now much more organised as apposed to just showers. Have about an inch so far
  5. BBC News channel forecast said 25 cm for some tonight and by the time tommorow is finished I wouldnt rule out a further 25cm so that makes half a meter!
  6. Draw a line east from where the thames meets the north sea think you may be too far North im afraid Reading would do ok
  7. Latest forecast suggests 25cm tonight for some parts of SE! Wouldnt rule out 50cm for some by the time the front passes tommorow night!
  8. You lucky git im in Broadwater and only seen about 3 flakes! Think ive got a high pressure cell over my house!
  9. What area can you see that is white? Is it Hertford area?
  10. Does anyone know if theres going to be anything more organised ie a front crossing the SE tonight or is it going to continue to be hit and miss showers?
  11. Nothing here in Stevenage we have both been a bit unlucky so far. Looking at the radar I think we will see some soon though
  12. Nothing here in North Herts so far anyone in East / NE Herts got anything yet?
  13. Sorry if this is a silly question1 Is STV your local forecast? Did they confirm it was officialy a white christmas in Glasgow?
  14. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/education/arch...rvation_12.html Snow at Glasgow at 1000hrs this morniing according to Met office, was around zero most of morning. Hope the bookies will pay out on this one as I had 4/1 on Glasgow :smiliz23:
  15. Apparently it has snowed in Glasgow. Can anyone confirm this? Ive got a bet on a white christmas here. Does anyone know where the bookies get their data from to verify bets?
  16. Heavy wet snow here in stevenage (120m ASL) started to setlle on hills around Baldock. Can see evrything being a tad further south than forecast with snow being reported as far SE as Kent
  17. So far south of the M4 / Thames Valley have rain by 6am! could be some dissapointed southerners if the METO keep ramping up snow for the south! Could be washed away by the time people are getting up!
  18. A word of warning to the rampers... the 18Z control run is a rapid, rainy breakdown for most: http://91.121.0.76/modeles/gens/run/gens-0-2-108.png Don't get carried away with WZ's "operational", whatever that may be (cant be up to much if they don't even put it on the ensembles )
  19. The above should read GFS - I havent just found a new model just had 2 many beers - oops!
  20. What I dont get is how the GRF came up with that scenario when it has no sipport what so ever from the Ensembles? Dont think ive ever seen that before! Ive seen a few outliers but that run was completely un suported can anyone explain how this has happened?
  21. Im with you on this 1 ! This late in the day we have to take what we can get! The best scenario would be the atlantic to win giving widespread snow to then retreat and allow cold easterlies but thats just wanting my cake and eating it too! I think the 18z is a blip and things will revert back to a breakdown late Weds inot Thurs on tommorows charts (I hope)
