  1. Yup, and Netweather's forecast issued on Monday was spot on. Unlike certain others. Fair play!! Consistently more accurate over the last few months.
  2. Rainfall stats for last 72 hours in IRL/UK. Amazing how dry it's been down here in a so called unsettled spell.
  3. Maybe, though they were forecasting showers here every day so far this week and not a drop. Used to be far more accurate.
  4. Latest Met Office forecast for the south east for the weekend. Given their recent record it's suncream at the ready.
  5. Certainly looks like July is gone for a Burton now heatwise thank god. And even early August according to the met looking changeable. After that it doesn't matter as we'll be a few weeks away from autumn at that stage. A hot July after that June would have been a nightmare. Anyway, we can rest easy now and enjoy some at least interesting weather.
  6. Goodbye June 2023. You won't be missed. Total lack of variety weatherwise just endless sun, heat, humidity and a very poor attempt at a t- storm. Looks like early- mid July is going to offer the weather enthusiast something much more interesting.Once we hit August it doesn't matter as we'll be on the home stretch to autumn then anway. Plus there are some flying toys in the MAD group which is always fun.
  7. Today's max as of 5pm. Hot and steamy again out by the runway.
  8. Bet the west Midlands will still get them, warnings or not.
  9. Wasn't expecting it to be so cloudy today in London. Probably just aswell as its certainly hot enough!
  10. The airports runways asphalt yet again...
  11. This looks so fake but I can assure you it's not. My mate was there at the same time. Dublin is not known for its exciting weather but...
  12. We live in a world now that even professional meteorologists talk about '' the risk of showers '' In places that haven't seen a drop in over a month.
  13. Folk should always use Meteociel for up to the minute information and accuracy. The amount of information on there is just awesome. Meanwhile on the publicly funded Met Office website... designed and updated by children.
  14. Heathrow will feel a bit left out or maybe all the airports are trying to out do each other. Asphalt again.
  15. Bonkers storm in Wimbledon just now. Wasn't expecting anything. Better than yesterday.
  16. Storm still rumbling away here in SW London. Rain was more awesome than the thunder tbf. Nice surprise. Some good lighting shots from out at Heathrow.
  17. Brutal rain now in SW London with constant rumbling.
  18. Torrential rain in SW London now. No thunder but the size of the raindrops is awesome.
  19. 30.3c just now out by the runway at Heathrow.
  20. Sf James's Park or my local weather station Kenley much more representative of the London area than Heathrow.
  21. Heathrow is always a few degrees higher than the surrounding areas due to the proximity of the screen thermometer to the asphalt runway. That's why activists use LHR statistics so often.
  22. 14.8c in South London just now. Breezy too. Two weeks time the nights will be starting to draw in.
  23. Just looking at the synoptics of the last few weeks , imagine what would the weather be like if this was January or February.
