  1. Certainly all that glass will have a localised effect on temperature. Like the asphalt runways and buildings at Heathrow ( look it up) Aircraft movements have no effect on temperature as was demonstrated during lockdown. Look that up too.
  2. With the exception of SW France, nought unusual for a June day in Europe, including here.
  3. I tend to use readings from RAF Odiham( your neck of the woods) Kenley and LGW to get current conditions in S England. LHR and St Jame's Park readings are nonsense imo.
  4. Heathrow weather station has been in the same location since the 50s. Massive expansion around it. 30.2c here now. LHR 10 miles from here. Airports always top the list.
  5. Looks good mate. You should get your rod out and catch something. 29.7c here in SW London. Probably exceed 30c shortly. Strong breeze thankfully.
  6. Spot on mate! Can't understand the drama about what so far in London is a pretty ordinary June day. Its very warm yes but far from exceptional.
  7. 26.7c with nice cooling breeze and lots of high cloud here in SW London. Pretty average summer's day tbh.
  8. Wanna swap? We just need to ride out Friday here then it's over.
  9. Yup, can't remember a more miserable June day in London. Drizzly and dark. Now tipping it down.
  10. Turned out nice again. Why don't the met office etc just get a rain app on a phone. Much more accurate. Met Office had it dry all evening here in SW London. Its now absolutely tipping it down. Well that's what a 1.4bn computer does I suppose.
  11. If you live Midlands northwards I wouldn't rush to read the Netweather summer forecast. Dear oh dear. Yet another dreary one up there.
  12. Three weeks today and the nights will be starting to draw in. Can see it being a really poor summer, even down here.
  13. Max today (yesterday) here in London 22.8c. Never going to kick off stormwise. Even now about 13c. Cool night. Let's see what tommorow brings.
  14. Who needs a pot of hot water when you can have a 1.2bn supercomputer. Bargain.
  15. And nothing from the waist down? Must get a bit ermmm drafty?
  16. Very true. Yet the 'experts' are quick to tell us what it's going to he like in 30 years. You gotta laugh.
  17. I wouldn't trust Heathrow's temperature readings given the weather station's close proximity to the asphalt runways, the proliferation of buildings etc since they started recording in the 50s.
  18. Yet another decidedly very chilly day in the south east.
  19. Nasty storms passing through SW London now. Booming thunder and vivid lightning. Biblical rain.
  20. With the almost incessant HP since the beginning of the year, there is a massive patern shift and a brutally bad summer coming up. Something like 2012 , possibly worse.
