The rain and cloud don't bother me that much. Its the fact that you have to put a jacket on to nip out to the garden for a cheeky smoke in the middle of May in London... now that annoys me! Can't remember anything like it.

Are all shifts in weather patterns now down to 'climate change'? What a strange world we live in.

The lack of rain is concerning. We could be looking at a drought parched early summer.

Torrential rain in South London for last hour or so. Temp is 9c Forecast was light showers and 13c. Gotta laugh really. Mind you the little feature that's caused the deluge has come up from the south so they are hardly going to get that right.

Have you got some left over from the 2cm blizzard a few weeks back?

Radar is accurate, just had quite a heavy shower in Wimbledon. More accurate than the weather forecasts.

Pineapple tomatoes and cucumber melons? Must admit never heard of them. Any more info? Easy to grow etc from seeds? Off work now for a day or two as this mild wet weather is perfect for outdoor working and getting soil ready for planting. Soil is ideal condition for working though slightly cold. Not too wet. Flooding was never going to be an issue in SE as I said some weeks back. Temp 9.6 with rain incoming from SW. Balmy weekend ahead.

Light snow again in Wimbledon. Slight thaw but not much. 3-4cms. Must have been sweet spot around SW17/19.

Proper heavy snow now in Wimbledon. Decent coverage. Unexpected.

Moderate snow in SW19 now. About 2cms so far. Not a bad little spell this. Amazing longevity for falling snow though never heavy.

Yes, its always a bit of a 'school lesson' type of forecast.Pictures of a flooded meadow etc. Bless. However, i find them more accurate than the met office recently. Lets see what they say tommorow. The one thing that makes me unconvinced about any very cold weather down is the forecast temps for northern Europe ( apart from Scandinavia). You can have easterly, beasterly or whatever this year's name for it is but if the temps in Brussels, Berlin and Amsterdam are going to be around 4c, its of no use. Just cold and dank.

Just seen the extended outook on the beeb. They are not in the slightest bit interested in cold snowy weather for SE weekend into early next week. Colder yes but 5c in London with rain. Warming up then midweek. Thats METEO/BBC take on it.

What a pathetic effort for snow in January. Seen better snow in April. Seriously!!
