  1. That system quite a bit further north than forecast. Another soggy morning. 6c. March certainly carrying on where February left off. Wet spring ahead i reckon.
  2. Another 6mm overnight in the capital. Rainfall totals certainly builing up. Dryish day oe two now before further deluges later in the week.
  3. Our next batch of wet weather is fast approaching from the South West. A wet night and morning expected across our region.
  4. 5.4c in SW london. Rain getting heavier. Looking like another wet windy weekend.
  5. I still got a feeling next week might throw up something similar but better and more widespread than this morning.LPs tracking further south and the MET outlook for next week saying longer spells of rain and snow (on hills) in central and southern areas. We'll see.
  6. Well now that this mornings excitement is over we can now look forward to.... STORM JORGE!! I'm sure the last one we had was called Dennis so i must have either slept through the last five of them or my spelling is hopeless. Either way, wet and windy ahead which i like. You know where you are with that. Proper weather. Warnings out.
  7. Snowing in Wimbledon now. I wont be harnessing the huskies just yet though.
  8. 4.8mm rain since midnight. Currently 2.8c. Another degree or two lower and lower DPs would have made all the difference. Weekend looking lively anyway which is something.
  9. Bbc/Meto and Met all going for very wet weekend and next week. LPs forecast to take more southerly track next week and with colder air in place, possibly something a bit wintry. Certainly going to be wet either way. As for tomorrow, no snow in the capital anyway, cold rain AM,8c and Sunny in afternoon.
  10. That was another none event around here. Some sleet i seem to recall. I know im not popular on here for being a fan of wet windy wild weather but at least never too disappointed.
  11. Aint happening according to MetoGroup /BBC, they have Thursday dry, the LP stays way to the south then its wet and breezy Friday until Sunday. Too mild either way for anything worthwhile. Thet are going for LP to track right down across the country next week. I think that may be of more interest regarding something wintry down here.
  12. I forsee a 2007 type summer. Southerly tracking jet with numerous LPs tracking across or just to the south of UK/IRL. Thunder plentiful though in very unstable airmasses.
  13. Will certainly be even more soggy after this. Spectacular rain and hail now in South London. Gone very dark. 10c.
  14. Turning out wetter than expected. Rain seems to be intensifying as it heads towards the capital. Its currently 6.8c. Feels quite wintery.
  15. Great pics. Torrential downpours of rain and hail passing through South London now. Very gusty. Certainly lively weather this.
  16. New water butt almost full now round the allotment. Going to be great early growing season hopefully. Soil extremely wet now, which is great.
  17. Bbc headline. 'Army Called in as storm Dennis arrives' We really are a nation of spineless weaklings now. Breezy with blowing drizzle here.
  18. Some torrential rain just passed through. Amber warning just been issued for area south of London for weekend. Though why they are only warning Amber and knowone else I'm not sure. Going to be a wet and windy one folks.
  19. Pretty impressive amount of rain last night again. 10.9mm. Certainly turning out to be a very wet winter. If we can't have it cold and snowy then we might aswell get some benefits from it. Currently 6c and cloudy in SW19.
  20. Dennis?? Really? The tabloids are going to have field day with this one then. Ridiculous.
  21. Im still convinced March will deliver a wintry week or 10 days. Better late than never I suppose. 5c and sunny this morning in SW London. Looking lively again later in the week. At least any threats of hosepipe bans in the summer have well and truly gone now which is something.
  22. Normal windy wet winter day in SW London. Big fuss over not alot. Again.
  23. True that. 94mph in Central London during the 1987 storm. At 2am thankfully. Imagine if it had been 2pm!!!
  24. Yes indeed, Alexa is wonderful in the morning for all sorts. Up to 4c here in SW19 now.
