    It might of been breezy but it hit 15c in Manchester on that day, fantastic for mid January. How I'd love that to happen this January.

    Pressure slowly increasing... A bit more next Friday, it also ridges into France, hope fully this will be a regular thing during the Winter

    High pressure all year round, hot or warm and very dry, we can always use desalination plants for water we are an island of course.

    If you compare Humberto here: And then to below it seems to have weakened some what, and we all know GFS over exaggerates low pressure so who knows it may be a non-event with high pressure instead being the form horse. And then pressure builds over the UK

    Pressure rising from the west, I think that ex-hurricane will just scrape Scotland probably into next weekend but the rest of us will be controlled by high pressure.

    Next Friday we start to see the Pressure rise, it is still an ongoing trend which cannot be ignored, might be a nice dry mild end to the month which would tie into the Met Office prediction hope fully.

    Christmas eve looks chilly but blink and you will miss it as by Boxing day it's not looking that cold, no cold like December 2010 thank god

    As per the 18z last night the 12z is still showing High Pressure pushing down on the country next weekend

    Heard some people today talk about how there's loads of berries on trees and it means a terribly cold Winter. I'm not sure the quantity of acorns, berries or nuts have anything to do with upcoming weather, can't really see how something like a tree or plant knows what the weather will be like in months ahead.

    Personally I would like to see warmth/heat and blue skies sunshine all year round, I don't see the point in seasons or the ridiculous dark days ahead, it's really unpleasant and completely pointless.

    Yep, I don't mind the mist and fog just as long as it clears otherwise it may remain a bit chilly, hope fully the sun will still be strong enough to destroy any of the low cloud.

    Indeed better than wind and rain, at least with the projected High Pressure and sun it should feel pleasant enough in to early October.

    And I remember he ramped up Winter 2011-12 saying it was going to be "brutal" for the UK and his usual rhetoric like "get ready for it" etc etc - it wasn't brutal, it was only really a week in February that was cold/snowy. Granted he did get it right for Eastern Europe and into Russia saying the worst would be over there but anyone can make that prediction as that is what is usually the case nearly every Winter, I think his love of cold and snow deludes him a bit.
