UKMO looking very good to me, also the GFS is an improvement.
UKMO struggling to retrogress, would think this would produce our first 25C somewhere.

First half of the day lovely again currently 19C though looking at the satellite our luck will run out soon.

17C and mostly sunny. Met office cloud forecasts have had a mare again. Was meant to be fully overcast and they keep extending the sun by an hour each hour instead of simply revising the forecast. Such an odd system.

Well, GFS has taken everyone for a ride, even got the Met convinced in the video above that Monday would be dreadful, only to backtrack! Monday looking respectable again away from East coast.

21C, not much of a breeze so feeling very warm in sun. This May is going to be underrated at this rate. Not as many warm days as we'd like but very few miserable days too.
-
20C, best day of the year so far. Monday peaked at 21C but there was a good 2 hours of full cloud cover that day. First time my area has gone above the forecasted maximum too, after a week of consistently being under. Hopefully soil drying out beginning to take effect?

18C and clear. Choosing to ignore the GFS.

GFS not looking too bad either, slightly worse position of the high and that upper low is a bit too close for comfort, but compared to earlier runs, big improvement for early next week.

For me I lose the jumper at about 17C if conditions are perfect - no cloud and no wind. If it's windy and cloudy though probably 22-23C.

13C and cloudy. Don't know what planet these weather apps are on this week, been absolutely rubbish forecasting cloud amounts.

You can't hide away from the fact in that breeze and sun behind cloud it actually feels 'cold'.
I'm surprised 20-22C isn't feeling so warm for many. After 8 months of rubbish, 21C feels brilliant. No heatwave but it's still a good 3-4C above average for time of year.

First 21C of the year. No marginal about it feels genuinely warm.

Back on track after the unforecast cloud. 19C sunny.

Looks like this weekend temps will be around 14/15 for most of us now
GFS on its own, normally we could safely rubbish it, but precedent has been set too many times already this year for the GFS showing an awful run to be on its own not just against other models but even against its own ensembles in, yet still come out on top. This should be a 0.1% chance of happening given how many are against it, but this year I'd give it a coin toss.

Awful. Met office off by hundreds of miles again.

I've noticed the temperature really struggles to increase during the afternoon this year. Only increased to 19C from 18C in the last 3 hours.

No, I want proper heat now. It’s late May.
What is it you actually do for a living?
Fair As long as it's sunny and comfortably warm in short sleeves I'm happy.
Sauna engineer by the sound of it.

18C , barely a cloud in the sky, light breeze. Proper heat can wait until summer, this is perfect late Spring weather.

May 2020 only had 3 days of 15c or below and 17 days above 21c (8 of which were above 25c). It also only had 1 rain day and was the sunniest month on record.
There is no comparison.
May 2020 had a brief northerly, where it was still sunnier than every spell of weather we've had so far this year until possibly the current one. Other than that the month was pretty much perfect and as you say there's no comparison. No need to bring other years down to try to dress up this disgrace of a year.

A bit of cloud this afternoon but still almost all sunshine. We've leaped into summer in one day here with indoor temperature jumping to 20C. Finally no long sleeves.

Same here not one cloud, indoor temp finally comfortable at 18.6. it's taken until late May but we finally have our first sunny and warm spell.
-
Somehow the sun's been out for a good half hour now in the middle of this front.
