Well storm Emma never makes it to our region looking at this mornings forecasts. Looks like we could see a few showers on Sunday. But apart from that it seems the boat has sailed for anymore significant snowfall.

Thinks it quiet because they isn’t a great deal happening now for our region.Our next potential is tomorrow night. But at the moment that’s all it is potential.

Not expecting anything tonight. Think we might see a few flurries over the weekend from the North Sea.

If we don’t see anymore snow now I don’t think any of us can complain. Definitely the heaviest snowfall here since March 2013. ?

Just watched bbc look north weather. A few flurries this evening. Dry tomorrow. Then maybe some snow Friday night but she did say huge uncertainty regarding snowfall into Friday night Saturday morning.

Well what a fantastic 48 hours that was. Deep snow blowing in the strong winds. Very much like March 2013. But I think that’s it now. But didn’t we do well.

Can’t see much more in the way of snowfall for our region to be honest. The radar is dying a death. Think we may see a few showers from the North Sea over the weekend. But I’m more than happy with what we have now.

I think the amber warning is for drifting snow. Think that’s it for snow today. But certainly can’t complain. Hopefully a few snow showers off the North Sea over the weekend.

Wow wind really got up here now. Blowing snow everywhere. Total whiteout conditions. Radar looking weak now. But certainly more than happy with what we have. Hopefully we may see a few more showers from the east over the weekend.

I think personally that this will be the last big dumping. Don’t think storm Emma will affect our region. But that’s no bad thing as it will keep us in the colder air for longer. Still think we might get some showers moving in from the east. But as for more heavy snow I’m not so sure.

Radar starting to fade now. But certainly can’t complain. If I don’t see anymore snow from storm Emma then I will be more than happy with what we have. Think the drifts are going to be fantastic.

And we’re still under yellow warning. Bit of a joke really. Surely we should be issued an amber warning.

Wow this really is an epic spell. Reminds me of March 2013. Just measured 8 inch of snow on car roof. Bet the snowdrifts will be crazy later.

Well woke up to more snow this morning. Really blowing around in the wind. Must be 6 to 7inch deep in places. But still can’t get a snow day. ?

A lot of these showers seem to be losing the intensity now. But can’t complain regarding today it’s been fantastic. Just a shame I never got a snow day.

We are getting battered by shower after shower in kirkless at moment. Main roads absolutely covered.
