  1. SE Wales has had about 30mins of torrential rain due to the curve flattening out on the tail end Pretty nice air conditioned breeze from the rain , No lightning but you could easily picture a thunder storm with the same intensity of rain
  2. torrential shower developed around Southampton Looks like it wants to be trouble
  3. Well, the warning is a little West of me, it is currently looking dark all around Most of the UK looking like, drizzle embedded with heavier busts and torrential downpours
  4. thought it had ended,. closed up laptop,. went to bed.. but the sky has started to flicker again.. They haven't show up on Blitzortung :S
  5. think a few of these strikes are not being picked up by the detector!
  6. I can see flickers of lightning from Blackwood now far far away probably in Devon ...
  7. Morning everyone, was hoping to spot Jupiter and Saturn as they rise this morning, half the sky has a line of cloud through it, ending to my East.. blocking my view! ~ Thought i'd check on the radar, and then found an equally obscure line across the SW England with some lightning strikes.. now more pronounced than ever!
  8. yes it's raining, whole ground is soaked now, but nothing too heavy ,.more the size of the drops that were medium-large
  9. swathe of the heads of the valleys seems to have started with precip, meanwhile Blackwood just gets darker
  10. getting Darker over Blackwood, some very very decent Towers built up, humidity is insane!
  11. that's a very large cell over SW Wales,. rarely do you see it that intense over so many miles
  12. latest netweather radar image really showing the severity of the West Swansea Downpour, I wonder what it feels like to be under blue sky.. and see a storm develop over your head how much more can these showers intensify without a strike ?
  13. East of Blackwood looking toward Cwmbran , and probably as far as Gloucestershire
  14. an absolutely intense precip in the Swansea (potential cell) , I have blitzortung up ,. waiting for a Sferic Something near Lampeter, has very very quickly turned into a shower
  15. Just looking South from Blackwood, there are towers, but they are very small, to My North, towards the heads of the valleys there is a more significant tower with a base, but it's still relatively small
  16. Some showers about 10miles to my North in South Wales, - some towering from them ,. but not currently potent.
  17. just looking at the showers that seem to have bubbled up on the Southern edge of the rain bad, slimmer of hope that they could produce the odd lightning strike. IT looks rather like a squall line that never fully materialised. Further to the South East, it looks far more unstable with some clouds towering (my sat 24 analysis)
  18. so i'm under a redwarning, - there is a picture on facebook about the floods in Pontypridd, they are reaching the windowsills of the properties along the river front.. weather wise, the rain is much colder now, I can see a small squall line forming over pembrokshire, these things are lethal since they are not moving laterally quickly enough Another Squall line over North Wales looks very developed and quite severe , may'be it will form right the way to the South.. who knows.
  19. the BBC keep showing the rain over SW UK overnight almost like a double squall line,., I wonder if that means we could see a few strikes of lightning over night o,o would be pretty awesome.. though not something I typically see in February ,. Then tomorrow looks like colder air moving South... possibly thundery squall showers with hail on a lessening wind
  20. Thunderstorm in the N.E .. wow that lit up quick
  21. Squall hasn't arrived yet in SE wales but I can see it on the way,. wind is easily as strong as last weekend.. may'be stronger
