  1. Reached 20.5c. Sunny start to the day. Cloud did develop during the day stopping temperatures really rising. Great evening for playing Golf like I was. Currently 18c
  2. Same as above. Great start. Still fairly cool at 16c but it's warming up quickly and the sun is feeling very strong already. Should make the low twenties again. Didn't record the maxes for the whole month on paper but average max must have been between 20.5-21c so pretty good. Half a degree below July 2013
  3. After a cool cloudy morning, the afternoon improved and was fairly sunny. As a result temperatures again climbed just above 21c With tomorrow looking decent (>20c looks possible) Then apart from the first few days of the month being average or a little below. The last 22 or so have been 2-3c above average (maxes), much drier than average (ground is hard) and with more sunshine than normal. No July 2013 but June 2014 will go down as a very decent month, that many would have taken in the 2007-2012 period
  4. Reached 21c today and felt hot in the shortish spells of sunshine. Almost sunburnt... Catch my Drift, I should have headed your warnings!!!! Quite a difference to NorthernLights above. Due to the wind direction, the beach wasn't that cold (19c). Normally it's Baltic in comparison to home. People were in shorts etc and swimsuits... It's warmish but rather then than me
  5. As suspected, my location means I'm fairly sheltered to those cool winds. Due to spells of strong sunshine yesterday we made just over 20c. Today looks cooler though with a lot of cloud around.
  6. I did notice the Aberdeen forecast from the Met... 'Not good' would be an understatement13c or under maxes are really desperately poor. Luckily for me and others in the west or south-west, north-east winds aren't too bad as we've been reporting...Next week looks nothing inspiring but most days should make 18c, maybe a 19 or 20 could be reached in the best of the sunshine
  7. Pretty poor today. Pleasant enough during the morning and early afternoon, 17c, however, drizzle became less intermittent and more persistent. Not cold but cooler than of late and fairly wet. Doesn't look too wet in the coming days mind...
  8. Currently 21.5c and fairly sunny. Great summer weather. 14 days straight now that 20c has been breached Spits of rain were around this morning but it came to nothing
  9. That's good. We're up from 65 per acre from last July, so much better.Hay is quite difficult to find a long enough spell of good weather. The haylage was too wet on Saturday and by Sunday when it was cut it's a bit dry. Doesn't really matter but Haylage is preferable to hay for the horses and to be sold to others
  10. Got the haylage wrapped today. Got just over 100 (small) bales of haylage per acre from the field. Just wondered what you were getting. Haylage is a bit closer to hay than last year, quite dry but not too much so
  11. 22.5c and a bit more humid than of late. Sunny for long spells. Wind has picked up in the last hour and it's now cooler.
  12. Great day here, only became cloudy in the last half hour. Temperature reached 23.8c - more than 5c above average (18.7) - so another very pleasant, warm/very warm day with lots of sunshine Ground is getting hard now...
  13. Was at the Highland today where it was fairly cloudy and reasonably cool for most of the morning. Much warmer here, maybe just a couple of degrees (I think 19 thereto 21 here) however, with much less wind and more sunshine the difference is significant. Tuesday looks like the first day we will not reach 20. If it did then that would be 14 days >20c which is not too bad for this early in summer. Temperatures were rather average (apart from 3 days just gone) but due to the suns strength it's been a good -needed - spell of weather. It's came at a great time for farmers/growers and has allowed all of us to marvel at the length of our daylight at this latitude
  14. Glorious start to the day, think it's the 11th consecutive day it will have reached 20c
  15. It was great. The realisation that they don't have tht good a team may actually hit the English...It is great for their nation.Don't want to get into politics but since 30% of their population don't attend school, I'm not sure Costa Rica are the best country to look upto...
  16. Made just short of 23c... 4 degrees above average
  17. Similar to you BUS at 23.8c. Been a glorious day and much more comfortable than yesterday
  18. Less humid today but the sun had been out almost from the start. Currently blue skies and 22.3c All the farmers are getting the silage and haylage in. From mid-June to mid-July is when hayfever kills me...
  19. Nah, TonyH, I'm sure there is an incredibly cold, cloudy microclimate around said persons house At 2:30 temp reached 27.2 but once again cloud rolled in and it's hovered around 25. Sun is partially back out and it's 26.3c Still scope to go warmer, feeling fairly warm. Unless you are working hard then it's pretty comfortable out there... I'd say
  20. Last night was a bit difficult to sleep in, at 1am it was 23c in my room and only fell to 21c when I woke up, not the best. Especially since I like it a bit cool so 14-18c roughly to sleep in. Very cloudy start. Humidity is much higher today (yesterday day wasn't that humid IMO) and despite no sunshine, temperature is 22c. Sun is now out... I predict an oppressive 26.5c high
  21. Currently at 25c after a peak of 25.7c at 3:30. I'd put today in the 'very warm' category just about
  22. Sitting currently at 23.5c. Very pleasant as it's less humid than the past few days. Tomorrow looks a little warmer which should mean I get near 25c. I knew it wouldn't be long Hawesy... haha
  23. Mediocre day yesterday (although sounds better than what most of you had). Very cloudy, a little drizzle and reached 20.3c Today is brighter. 16c already....
  24. 21c and humid. No sunshine today and there was a spell of heavy rain for an hour. Very pleasant conditions
