  1. Looked up the earth wind map there, we are in for a very windy evening and night, winds really ramped here in the last hour. Rochey, you need to change your location to somewhere around the south east of UK, then you shouldn't have any issues. lol
  2. lol, woke up this morning to no electric so would have had to use the head touch to see what was going on.......maybe the darkness would have suited me actually.
  3. As much as I enjoy snow and look forward to it Saturday is the wife's due date so I kinda have mixed feelings about it!! Lol Tomorrows looking wild and windy and then Saturday is when the fun starts for most
  4. The flucations in temps at the minute is crazy. The radar is currently showing snow moving in so some could get a wee surprise....wee being the big word
  5. Indeed MS, this chart is showing country wide snow for next weekend, some strong gust around the north and north west coast through the weekend to.
  6. It could be a very marginal event today, MetO earning for snow down the west side of UK and by radar precipitation crossing Ireland turning more readily to sleet and snow so the east could get something. we just have really light missle here
  7. Will be interesting to what the incoming precipitation on the radar produces
  8. We had about 2 inches overnight, made the drive into work interesting as it was frozen underneath. Tonight looks to be very cold, especially if snow cover lasts throughout the day. P.s. if the showers keep coming today could be getting a top up
  9. Surprised it's starting snowing here to, very lightly and ground to wet to lie but once darkness comes and temps drop it could be interesting especially looking at the radar
  10. Elevation will help in Glengormley but showers look like dying out before reaching that far. Shower are already dying out before they get to far inland. Hope you do see something but
  11. Showers on radar look to be getting a bit more wintry as they move inland.
  12. Hovering around 3 degrees here this evening with very very light rain, it's almost foggy this evening with poor visibility here. Was in Lisburn early and it was trying to snow coming back over the mountain towards dundrod, heavy thick sleet at one point. The precipitation on radar doesn't seem to be moving very quick this evening
  13. Going by radar, showers turning to sleet and snow so some could get a skiff overnight. Cold night ahead to. looks like it will remain cold into and over weekend with it maybe getting colder early next week. I think snow will still require now casting
  14. 23rd March 2013, have faith, it's not over till it's over lol
  15. Reading the uk precipitation charts and the MetO forecast we should see something between Wednesday and Saturday night, abiet not a lot but it seems in these volitile situations anything could happen. Fingers crossed for something noteworthy for some
  16. Saw on Facebook bara best put up pictures from co Wicklow, getting a good pasting!!
  17. Long time since radar showed rain moving in from the east The roller coaster continues in MOD thread
  18. complete mess Pom, MetO have removed all snow symbols at my location right through to Thursday now although still projected a cold week ahead with not much rain. just shows how extremely difficult it is to forecast anything for the uk and Ireland but the MetO have done well this year and last imo.
  19. Some extremely disheartened people on the MOD thread this morning. Still think we can expect some icy conditions and snow next week although looking through the GFS charts for UK precipitation type it does look very hit and miss. The sub tropical low formed in Bermuda seems to be a bit of a talking point for some, I assume it will be laden with moisture that will eventually hit the cold air and produce a dumping of snow for some.
  20. Today's update from the MetO wouldn't inspire many for next week.
  21. I find it frustrating reading the MOD posts where people are talking about 10 days time and will it / won't it be cold rather than discussing the here and now and 4 day period ahead. I would be confident that the cold will arrive next week and looking at some of the charts and comments it will be interesting to see snow fall depths for certain areas, especially in the south UK when the low pushes through and in the north Interesting week of weather coming up P.S. Checked Metcheck forecast for 9th July, 2016 and its going to rain which has put me in bad form as I am at a wedding that day
