  1. A bit windy and a bit wet here today, wind not as strong or sustained as last night. Not good what's happening across in Cumbria area, hope everyone's safe!! 50 miles south from there and it's dry and a bit breezy.....crazy!!
  2. Still no rain here but showing on radar!! Think the winds picking up to
  3. Not much rain here at all but the winds differently howling. Winds to peak about 12 so windy night ahead!! Already see i'll have to go bin collecting in the morning!!
  4. Winds are starting to pick up here in comparsion with an hour or so ago. Warnings have been extended from MetO but MetE have upgraded to red as bomber's post above.
  5. We thankfully got about 5 cubes of logs cut last weekend and stacked outside of house. Looking wet and windy this weekend, log burner will be glowing and wine will be flowing.
  6. Storm this weekend is looking interesting Pom, some Facebook weather sites are issuing warnings already. You will more than likely end up with snow from it!! lol
  7. Nothing east of the lough but rain, radar still showing us under a blue blob.
  8. Bitterly cold BFTV, showers are tiring to snow on the radar. 384hrs on the GFS earlier was a slight to be seen.....Ireland and most of UK turned pink
  9. Snowed earlier and turned the place white, headed over mountain to Lisburn and it was lashing in Lisburn!! Back home now and it's sleety rain, a mild sector must have moved in and temp increased by a couple of degree, looks to be more snow tomorrow between 9 and 11. MetO have it pretty spot on....except the wind warning, not really required for here anyway!!
  10. Snowing away here, big heavy flakes, place white already!!
  11. MetO forecast still showing light snow this evening and heavy snow from 8am to 11am tomorrow morning. Net Weather forecast showing sleet this evening and tomorrow morning. BBC Weather showing something in between both. Who will come of best.....hopefully MetO
  12. Looking good for Pomeroy. Hopefully some east of the lough to. We have moved and have no lamposts nearby in the country Wind warning from MetO for NI now. Saturday looking good on forecast for light snow for most of the day
  13. Things shifting a bit further east for this weekend on the 12z
  14. With this showing for Saturday I thought this forum would be in full swing. Looks like us in the North will miss today's feature apart from the miserable rain.
  15. Just had a quick look at next Saturday's GFS charts, I thought after reading through the model discussion forum we in the north would do a bit better. Hopefully time for upgrades over the next few days. Still looking considerably colder
  16. Definitely a day for ducks. Radar is just constant rain Hopefully something colder next weekend
  17. Evening all, Been reading through quite a few posts getting a bit of a catch up. We really haven't had much excitement or anything to talk about weather wise for a few months. No real storms or heavy rain, winds or heat or anything. All a bit boring. Looking forward to winter now, especially after getting wood burner in and some logs split.
  18. Radar really impressive this morning, hope everyone gets a good pasting.....we might even get a shot on the east coast this time!!
  19. This should get this thread raring to go again!! Lol Today is the first day in a while where I have felt the cold!!
  20. Sorry for your troubles be cause
  21. Models currenlty updating......expecting 40 mile eastward shift with no decaying and low to stall over ireland for 48 hr period!!
  22. In our small country 20-30 miles shift east or west makes big differences. With a 30 mile eastward shift of 6am chart tomorrow would see the whole country get in on the action.
  23. Charts currently updating, 18hrs preciptation showing good for the north west, apart from that it makes no head way across the country.
  24. Have to agree Neiller, doesn't look good for the east. Decays before it even reaches lough neagh going by the charts. Lets no get to downbeat about it yet, strange things have happened with our weather over the last few weeks.
