  1. Just looked at the radar, some amount of water coming!! Looks like there could be snow lying in NI but Sunday afternoon. Read a post that costal areas in the north should do well for snow, could get a good dumping for a few on here
  2. I'm still waiting on the eastenders theme tune kicking in and for us to miss this opportunity
  3. Proper winter weather shaping up nicely for next week. before that we have heavy rain to contend with this evening and overnight so won't be surprising to see more flooding tomorrow. Lough Neagh at 3.5 feet above highest level with the flood gates a Toome open since November shows how much rain we have had
  4. Did we not have sort of polar low last year that created some hype? MetO showing snow from tomorrow to Tuesday, abeit light snow until Sunday am where heavy snow symbols appear.
  5. Anyone wanting cheered up today have a look at the UK precipitation charts on the GFS. Next weekend is pink pink pink.
  6. Yup guys, this weekend and next week should show some snow, depths might not be the talking point but the fact snow is falling should make some happy. Snow symbols starting to show already on MetO forecast as mountain shadow says. The GFS charts to the end of the month showing some more opportunities as we progress through the month, it is starting to feel like proper winter weather on the horizon P.s. When the MOD thread has 7 pages approaching 8 in 11 hrs overnight you know something is brewing
  7. 12z still rolling out, only at Friday at the min Pom
  8. Things are looking good for next week, alot of rain to contend with this week but. I checked radar this morning and couldn't work out why there was a warning for rain as there was nothing coming in from the west, it seems that the rain is going in circles today, hasn;t really stopped raining here today.
  9. Had a read of the MOD thread there, everyone's on cloud 9 with the latest run of charts......get your sleighs polished and yeah for action. Lol 10 days away but best chart of the season just produced!!
  10. Extra sore head tomorrow born, good effort. Not much moisture on the radar at the minute, could be early hours before we see any of the White stuff
  11. We'll soon find out Pom, showers heading our direction now in radar, some green in there to
  12. we've seen snow 3 times this year at home, not a lot and maybe twice it settled to give a light covering. The decrease in temps with all the rain could make driving conditions tricky but don't see much in the way of snow occurring.
  13. Some sleet showing on radar down Galway direction, possibly a cold front following up storm?
  14. A serious amount of flooding this morning. Never seen so much lying water in fields and roads around home.
  15. The rain is starting to pile in now from south west Ireland, continued to blow gales here for the last 5-6 hours and been as strong at the start as it is now
  16. Where's all the rain at? Not a bad thing as ground is already saturated
  17. Not real rain here at all just 1.5miles west of Belfast International Airport. Wind is causing some issues as Jello mentions above. The secondary low does look quite concerning, surprised it hasn't really been mentioned fatboy
  18. Winds really picking up here now, does anyone know what time they are going to peak at? No real rain here at the minute to talk of
  19. Amber raining warning now for NI, going to be a wet and windy evening. Some amount of grit and debris washed into roads this morning from last nights rain, slot of fields flooded to, tomorrow will be worse no doubt.
  20. Squall line has just hit here, I now see why some roads are flooded, serious rain!! Storm Frank has taken a more north westerly route towards Iceland since a few days ago but could still be some interesting weather here!! I see on Facebook some sites calling it "storm of the century" .....we shall see
  21. There's some squal line showing in the radar, from ballycastle to cork
  22. Precipitation approaching showing as rain on radar at the minute!! Don't know if the air will be cold enough to produce snow and then it's to get slightly warmer as rain start to clear NW by the looks of it. seems cold enough at the minute to produce some snow to higher levels
  23. Windy up north to born but not much rain. Surprised there wasn't a warning for wind up here as it's as strong as it has been during the other recent wind events. Looking wet throughout the week, especially the weekend coming
