  1. Hi there,I have a question about sea breezes, they are happening quite often here in Newton Poppleford seen as I am near the sea. I understand the basic concept of that they form when the air temperature has to be higher than the sea temperature and that the wind has to be quite light but I am uncertain about what strength the wind cannot exceed for it to form. There is currently one on the coast but not here and I was wondering how long on average it takes for a sea breeze to track from the coast to a few miles inland? Have I identified all the ingredients or is there more to the sea breeze formation than that?Thanks,William
  2. Nothing for here today which I new would be inevitable. Lots of convection but clouds being capped and spread out.

  5. It looks like Central S England had some great thunderstorms last night. I'm glad some people got something if they didn't already this year.
  6. I have a feeling they'll die out soon but hopefully not.
  7. Some decent convection going on around here. Quite a few cumulus congestus clouds with dark bases. Not getting my hopes up for even a shower here.

  12. How many FPS are you getting on it? Locally I get about 5 FPS.

  15. Well, I've just looked at the charts and have seen high values of both ML CAPE and SB CAPE around here today with some low Lifted Index's. Also, BBC Weather are going for this today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637853
  16. Clouds already going up here. I might see something today but probably not thundery.
  17. Torrential rain, hail, damaging winds and lightning in Dortmund now!
