    A cloud spotters dream out there. Cirrostratus undulatus cloud, altocumulus cloud and now some altocumulus castellanus cloud.

    So basically altocumulus cloud just shows possible rain coming but not really thundery?

    Altocumulus cloud over me at the moment and has been for a few hours now. Is thunder still as likely with just altocumulus cloud than altocumulus castellanus cloud?

    Just been out for a nice walk with mum and dog after maths exam this morning. Feeling very warm but not too muggy. May see something later because altocumulus cloud is covering the sky here.

    Altocumulus cloud overhead with some altocumulus castellanus cloud within it but at quite a low level.

    Having said that in my last post related to this, there is ML CAPE present over the English Channel tonight so a possibility I suppose.

    Altocumulus cloud to my SSW now and altocumulus castellanus cloud to my E now. Still, the air is unstable.

    Yeah, I bet. I hope he's ok. It must be his worst nightmare today. Possible but unlikely. Or is that the same thing? Haha.

    Yeah I was pretty impressed and shocked when I was woken by the thunder as I was doubting anything happening here as the evening went on but it was a pretty nice thunderstorm.

    Maybe some action for Dorset later this evening if those cells hold on over the English Channel.

    A lovely end to the day here with just a bit of cloud. It has turned warmer.

    Yeah but sometimes it's a good thing especially as it's been quite humid here recently. It's very high level lightning and with there still being a lot of light at the moment, it is not very easy to see except at night.
