    Convergence zone currently over south east England I think nothing thundery but heavy rain developed in situ very quickly!

    I hear you - it was a fairly significant rain event across the Surrey hills we have had warnings for a lot less ! It was well flagged by some of the guys on here though ( apols I can’t remember who )

    It doesn’t feel particularly noteworthy currently here in Surrey very nice summer morning but around 18c partial clear skies …. It’s usually already over 21c at this time on days when we go above 32c - anyway time will tell ..

    Thank you for the very informative and scientific analysis … certainly should serve as a reminder to temper expectations a little ..!?? I remain hopeful being geographically well placed should things occur but will not be tempted to tell the neighbours storms incoming just yet ..!
