Seems the storm that was heading past Ely and roughly in my direction is dying - seems to be turning messy on the radar and lightning has slowed right down, just as it reached the cusp of Norfolk.

I'm praying the storms in the Peterborough/Cambridge area head this way. It's gonna be close - or they'll die long before reaching here.

Well, the line of storms stretches to within touching distance of Norwich and then stops. Couldn't make it up. I see London and Kent getting loads of action, yet again.

Sun starting to break through here - slightly hazy but some big cumulus around me. I'm not especially confident, Norwich hasn't been great for storms this year so far. I expect a good show for some of the usual places. The vital stats aren't looking terrible though

Looks like Norfolk gets to miss out on everything yet again. Funny how the convective forecasts are super accurate when it shows thunder for elsewhere, but when the risk is here it's always a bust. Had one rumble this year so far and it wasn't even forecast.

What has popped up so far has been relatively stationary - which seems to be a recurring theme this year. Willing it all to move east atm

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Unless something has changed, the GFS is still very prone to over-egging CAPE values more than a few days out - or even more than 24 hours out. If that CAPE is still showing closer to the time, I'll be extremely surprised.

Again, I seem to be just on the wrong side of the edge of where it's falling. Seems to be a recurring theme, this. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll pick up some dregs.

No but it's been driving me mad, had nothing but dandruff here with really heavy snow just a few miles away both north and south, been doing this since yesterday. Tbf I've had more snow than some but seeing the really juicy stuff just in touching distance has been rather maddening, and the stubbornness of it as well.
