  1. I've been in Washington this evening so just a stones throw away and the chunk of precipitation missed us to the east by a whisker.
  2. I've just been outside in my slippers and gown to look at the worlds smallest radar snow blob, so I think they think that already Well, it precipitated, but it was mostly sleet with a few flakes thrown in. Still, onwards and upwards..
  3. Paha Beka, i'm going to go and stick my head out the door as it's on it's way here. I'll stick a few flakes in the freezer with your name on if there are any
  4. It's ok but actually it's slowly going up Radar shows a small blob around about Winchester, maybe that was what made the car wet? Don't tell me you missed it!
  5. Same here Beka, March 2013 was the last here. Wouldn't be surprised to get a few flakes overnight though, i'm not too far from you. Temp currently 2.6C, DP -2.3C
  6. Seems to have been a slight shift to a more W flow rather than WNW on the radar over the last hour or so, mind you my eyes are going a bit funny with all this radar oggling. Still showers coming in, might even stay up a bit later tonight and pray that the first flake of winter arrives.
  7. After a decent overnight frost, temp has now risen by 6.8oC in the last hour and a half. Current temp 3.2oC, dew point 1.2oC. Light rain at present.
  8. Morning (just about). Temp of around 1oC, dew of about the same, on the rise. Having a good boxing day all.
  9. It's a good question Lauren. Who did win it eh Paul?
  10. Lovely little storm here at the moment. Second of the day.
  11. Hope it's legible, but here's my attempt.. Pressure of 994mb, centre somewhere around north Devon, Barnstaple area if it needs to be that specific. (Apologies for the good folk of Barnstaple, for making your area a blob).
  12. Dark clouds looming here, windy too. Bit of distant thunder audible. This sort of weather can interrupt my afternoon sunny garden snooze any time.
  13. Camping on IOW for a while, almost constant thunder distant heard from the channel stuff but not expecting much based on direction of movement.
  14. Well, peak intensity has passed here now, although still flashing, I can see stars. Have to say, after a long wait for a true storm in my neck of the woods for many years, that was one of the best i've seen for a long time in these relatively storm-starved areas. Highlight was being momentarily blinded by a huge very local bolt of pink coloured CG, followed by a deafening clap of thunder and a fit of the giggles - who said adults can't get excited by the weather? To those in the line of fire, enjoy.
  15. Frequent, almost constant lightning and distant thunder here presently, slowly increasing in intensity.
  16. Just catching up on the day's (week's?) activities. Radar looking interesting, can't rule out a Portsdown visit especially as no work tomorrow. Popped outside just to cool down, muggy is not the word. Sweaty is the word.
  17. Thank you. :)And you probably will beat me over the weekend, I'll be out of the country
  18. Small but pleasantly active cell not too far from here a few minutes ago, gave some nice CG's and gunshot thunder. I think it might have been my budgie having one last hurrah - he died on Monday and his name was Thor.
