  1. Not sure about that at all. Blink and you'll miss the slightly less cold air, which tbh I don't think will even make it. Next week you refer to but it's an age away in weather terms.
  2. I wonder if that is what produced this? Photo is around these parts Feb 1969 but I do not have the exact date.
  3. Sure. I'll get the invites drawn up. Snowfest 2024 Coming to a Garden near you FREE entry if you bring your own hose! Drinks on ice. See you there!!!!
  4. That is the perfect dream mate, heavy snow pushing up from the southwest, dumping at least a few inches, cold re-asserts from the North, followed by snow showers.
  5. I'll get the hose out in the Garden, set it to mist, snow maker right there!
  6. Brilliant seeing charts like this and now at only 162!
  7. It really is shaping up to be a proper old school cold spell, into the semi reliable now too. I remember many occasions growing up, my parents had a loft conversion, so I was able to open up one of the skylights to track the incoming snow showers from the North. Never ground breaking amounts, generally ranging from 1 to 4 inches but it was proper snow so to speak. My last really good memory before 2010 was the early 2000's, not sure of the exact date, I must have been about 21 at the time and remember a couple of brilliant days where showers just kept piling in. I'm sensing something like that could occur in about a weeks time, we'll see. Long overdue that's for sure, if conditions are right then the Wirral can actually do very well. An unstable northerly that isn't transient is probably our best setup. I would imagine the same for you too?
  8. Interesting line at the end of Chris Fauke's lunchtime forecast just then... Into next week, snow from the north with possible disruption.
  9. Just binged watched Mr Bates Vs The Post Office, what a miscarriage of justice that is/was. Sorry mods way off topic of snow
  10. Back from a lovely fresh walk through Parkgate, sausage, chips & curry followed by ice cream . Many people had the same idea. As for the latest output, still looks decent in my book
  11. Latest Day 7 afternoon runs. Pretty happy with that TBH. ICON & GEM UKMO & GFS Just for a bit of perspective, here's a chart for this time last year.
