    Yes but forecast completely failed here, for Southport today hours of warm Sunshine today.

    Sunny days mixed with showery ones, T around the very pleasant 20C every day and even a touch warmer is showing on the models, leaves are on the trees, it is very much Summery in North Wales and further S and E. My glass more than half full. Enjoy Summer.

    Mediocrity...I will take it any time over the heatwave in SW Europe. It is not all doom and gloom, it could be much worse, it will still feel summery, don't need 30C to celebrate Summer, 20C is just right. We are lucky living on this Island without very extreme heatwaves (so far), you have to endure some Atlantic influence in return. I see no washout or cold for the season on the models (currently). I will now go outside and enjoy the Summer!

    All this talk about the hot weather and sunshine returning... it is warm, yes, but a cloudfest here since last Saturday, really. Could be worse of course but a world away from the gloriousness we had in June.

    3rd day of low cloud in North Wales with little sunshine, I bet it will stay cloudy today as well. Last two days I could see the edge of the cloud to the east (Cheshire) which did not seem to move West whatsoever. These localised showers worth not much and you need a miracle to have a T storm in N Wales or at least sunshine for home grown t storms so will see tomorrow.If this low cloud won't disappear, I don't expect much excitement.

    you are right, I was joking . our luck had to come with the almost perfect position of the high pressure (that if you like what is coming). Lack of rain is a concern though but you can't have everything...

    Honestly, who cares about the 30 C and sunshine when we have 25C and sunshine. We should be very grateful for this set up, even without the 30C-s...it will be even more comfortable.

    Well, I was almost told off a good week ago for daring to say the then doom and gloom outlook can change fast. It did. Looks like the fine weather for next week is almost "set in stone" for once.

    Yes, and I was told off a week ago by saying "ridging is possible" despite the models did not show it at the time as the data input determines everything and can change everything. It looked all doom and gloom...

    Trust me, my scepticism is always there, warm or cold, sunny or rainy. Nothing is set in stone after a week or so, the models can flip. I apologise for wanting some summery weather in Summer.

    For now. But things and output can change in a day, therefore 2 weeks ahead of no ridging is not set in stone. Fortunately.

    Yes, I just hope May is not the most summery month of the year this year...dividing line between sunshine and cloudfest. It does not look too bad for next week at least.

    Another good 5 days settled and warm spell... ?? It was absolutely horrid in North Wales today, barely reaching 13C and not a second of sunshine. Models showing another cloudfest for tomorrow. That is 3 days left until Tuesday.

    Just don't ask the plants and the farmers, Frosty... ? It looks snowier now than 24h ago, that's for sure.

    Except if you are a plant... sap production has already started so they get even more vulnerable. I love extreme weather though. It looks like this Beast is coming. ? Daffs will be absolutely fine, they are incredibly tough. Tree buds are much more vulnerable as sap production has started...

    Yes, and it was hard enough before. So they can be always "accurate", a bit cloudy, a bit of sun, all works....

    14C near Rhuallt, North Wales (not far from Liverpool "in air") and beautiful sunshine on the W side of the Clwydian Range. love the Foehn-effect - never mind the wind

    Cloudy in North Wales of course - again. It looked like nice tomorrow, a day ago, now it looks cloudy - again, just not cold enough for snow - again, just not North enough for sunshine - again.

    That is all you can say? I posted it there as well and explained before to the mods that sometimes I post here - they did not have any issue. The weather don't know borders. I am still in the NW (even if in forecasts you never know what NW means -NW Scotland, Wales, England or NI)... ?
