  1. Really pushing through quickly here in Central Bedfordshire Still all rain. Not much ppn left should it get a chance to change to snow. Fingers crossed for Thursday here.
  2. Still pouring rain. Ppn picking up pace as well. Looks to be cleared through here by 9pm
  3. Steady rain here. No sign of transition. Doesnt feel that cold either.
  4. Between 4-5c here driving about just now. Rain incoming...
  5. Meto app Now has my location here in central Bedfordshire for Heavy rain from heavy snow this time tomorrow. Fingers crossed Thursday produces something less marginal & a bit more substantial
  6. Quick glance at MOD thread and there continues the theme of getting hung up on FI/ D10 charts. Rinse & repeat since November 2018 Yet, we have possibilities of cold & snow during the next 5 days. I don’t get it, are members confusing their love of cold and snow, when it’s actually FI rainbow charts that really float their boat? Very odd.
  7. Raining here. Could be hazardous if it ice’s over before sunrise
  8. Sister in borehamwood saying a good 2cm covering. St Albans taking a whopping as well. Definteley good for NW London areas and West London suburbs it seems.
  9. Another small area of ppn about to cross the Bedford and Milton Keynes area. Temperature down to - 0.5c in Woburn. Will add the covering here I’m sure.
  10. In Woburn currently. Everywhere white. Very heavy snow for about half hour.
  11. Better than nothing. Any wintryness is welcome to a yet so far, snowless winter regardless if it doesn’t stick. No snowfall is not pointless in the mildest snowless country in Northern Europe.
  12. Beautiful winters day here. -5c on the 9am dog walk with thick frost and blue sky. Up on the hills of Ampthill Park with the shallow mist in the walk way valley paths looking down was truly stunning. Frost on the ground all day in shaded areas.
  13. The goal net has had more action than I’ve had but that’s another story.
  14. Haha That & “onto the next chase..!” Got to hand it to the guys in MOD thread though, What a hobby, chasing rainbows. Rather them than me. It would be like me at Sunday footy and never scoring a goal for 5 months.
  15. And just to expand on my post from yesterday. The wonderful charts of yesterday have downgraded on the 00z runs. ECM 0z has us in a S’Westerley this time next week.
  16. Hi @DonnaThw Try not to worry to much at this stage, until those crazy charts come within a 72h -92h range take with a pinch of salt. Its happened before and it will happen again (not necessarily now) snow nirvana charts at day 7 all but vanished/severely watered down 2 days later. Tuesday possible snow is still million miles away and Meto have me down as rain. All the best to you and the little one. X ps.. Latest ECM is still out at day 7 (lala land) before it gets interesting.
  17. ‘Chance’ riveting. Reading the models and viewing posts the chance of wintry showers - best bet NE England & Scotland within the 7 day period. Post 7 days is anyone’s guess be it mild or cold. Heres hoping post day 8 provides for our region.
  18. I would rather benign weather if it isn’t going to be cold and snowy. An Atlantic train of mild, wind and rain with folks getting flooded out would be a kick in the teeth whilst the rest of Northern Europe enjoy proper winter. The fact it’s been dry has eased the pain of a so far snowless winter. Would’ve been made worse by a bore fest onslaught of Atlantic crap.
  19. Evening all, Sorry another post about Darren Mild Bett.. The Mild lover greets our screens on a another national BBC evening news forecast just now. “Temperatures up 12c, that’s pretty mild for this time of year and unlike other parts of Europe - No snow” Let’s hope we get a freezing cold second half of winter to swipe that smug mild loving grin off his face. As @stainesbloke said, where’s Rob McEllwee when you need him.
