  1. Blue Sky overhead now. That’s better. Gusty breeze drying out pavements and roads which is good.
  2. Nice clearance coming in from west now here. Time for a later than normal morning dog walk.
  3. Gusty strong winds and heavy rain easing off. Nothing unusual. Heavy rain more of feature here than wind.
  4. Chilly and dry outside this evening. Lovely. Hopefully forecasts are right and it will not rain for another 3 days here. Ground is saturated.
  5. Feels weird waking up to clear skies and no rain. Cant believe it may actually stay dry today. Miracle.
  6. That lasted long. Raining again, thankfully I managed to tidy the garden in dry weather.
  7. Lovely day yesterday, respite from the relentless rain. Looking dry for us today as well which is good, my garden is drenched.
  8. Brief respite this afternoon before another deluge tomorrow ?️ 13th October and it’s soaking here. Bogged ground and surface water still present after being dry for past 4 hours and with more boring rain forecast it doesn’t get anymore grim. 6 more months of this. Hoping we get some decent dry periods in summer in 2020
  9. Similar bets here Surrey. Another mild and wet winter beckons. Hope I’m wrong but I doubt it, Stats and odds in our favour.
  10. Its due to push north but very slowly. Another soaking commences. Dog walks underfoot feels like it should be February. Soaked and bogged everywhere Have a feeling this winter is going to be bad with flooding and rainfall totals.
  11. Got 6 more months of this so you’ll be in your element. Snow fest? More like 1 day of wet snow then back to business as usual - pouring rain. Would prefer 17/18c in December with rain than 8c in December with rain.
  12. Another foul morning with endless rain. Past the ‘balance out’ now, extremely wet around these parts, very concerned for this winter, lots of flooding ahead I imagine.
  13. More of a locale thing rather than nationally. Nothing from Anglian water infact their report on BBC Look East in spring, said they turned the water pumps off with no shortages present or imminent.
  14. My gut feeling too. All that worrying folk do when it’s drier than normal then in a blink of an eye the UK is under water with a very wet September. Thats why I always embrace dry weather living in the UK. Yet more torrential rain falling out there currently.
  15. The dry conditions a distant memory & balancing out immensely here. Very heavy rain here & more forecast this week. Got a gut feeling we’re in for a very wet mild autumn & winter. Flooding already prominent and it’s only October tomorrow.
  16. Very wet morning here so far. Couple heavy showers passing through now after moderate rain.
  17. Yet more rain falling outside = welcome to the next 6 months. Hurry up spring 2020
  18. I know, extremely wet here too. Thats why I never tend to go in panic mode over dry periods. It will always balance out. Going from dry needing rain - to rain needing dry, in the blink of an eye. Good old UK weather.
  19. Soaking here tonight. Puddles everywhere and fields and vegetation bogged through. Hopefully a dry period happens before the winter rains set in.
  20. Bit wet today. The balance out has started. As it always does. 6 months of this grot ahead now, apart from the one day snow event if we’re lucky.
  21. Another beautiful day here. Really don’t want this to end. Wish we could skip the borefest of a rainy autumn to the one day of snow in February, then have spring knocking again
  22. Hopefully that chart is correct. Got 6 months coming up with endless rain, any delay of the wet stuff in September is more than welcome here.
  23. Agree @stainesbloke with the end of the world apocalypse over a few days of heat you would have thought at least a mobile air con unit over the constant ‘it’s too hot’ would be a decent investment for those that think a few days of hot weather out of 365 days of the year is to much.
  24. Lots of distant thunder but passed to the east of me and now back in late evening sunshine. Although a work colleague lived right in path of it and reported over head thunder & not much else. Now for a evening trip to the local for a pint in the warmth.
