  1. Agree, thats the last thing we want now. The plume is by far the most uncomfortable abhorrent weather that comes to our shores.
  2. That glimmer of something more comfortable steadily grows for next week, rain at last! Much better temps for working in,long time coming, fingers crossed it stays like it for a good few weeks.
  3. Temps taking a 10 degree drop mid week by me compared to last week, love it,love, love it
  4. After Sunday in my area the heat is on the decline, all week won't breach 25c,early in the week so much cooler and refreshing! Up a bit later but nothing like the crap(lovely warm temps for those who like it)) we have just had. Rest of July showing the same, little rain though that is a major concern for many.
  5. Thanks pal, just kick a man while he's down why don'y you!. This weather is like having Hemorroids, its a pain in the bum,you can't get comfortable and just wish it would end!.. hoping that as in Winter these charts are overly doing the extremes of temps..One can hope
  6. I have read it,the glimmer of hope may grow stronger soon! Sub 25c all this week by me next week after Sunday, may on one or two days struggle to get out of the teens....oh bliss
  7. Oh the joy....there might be a little glimmer of hope on the horizon, thank you mother nature, relief at last!! Next week looking much cooler and mid month showing the same, wonderful!
  8. On that we agree!! The actual humidity hasn't been to bad IF your outside, but i fear this will change.
  9. Actually i was working in 39c for 6 and a half hours in Newcastle yesterday! All the Nurses(much, much younger than me....perk of the job) were suffering more than me! Been like this every day for weeks now, they are getting really fed up with it.
  10. This weather is really starting to bite now, last 2 days i haven't spoken to anybody who wasn't sick of it. Staff at every single site i've been at hate it,today especially, some of the conditions have been challenging to say the least. Yes a good Summer, week after week of this ,no. For so many the end can't come soon enough. I wouldn't want sub zero temps in winter for 2 months for exactly the same reason. It has to much of a impact on life.
  11. The sooner this weather breaks the better,i may dislike like it intensely but that's nothing compared to many. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-44704958
  12. The misery continues then till mid July,oh what joy.... Just hope mother nature balances this out with much needed rain and cooler temps the rest of Summer. Was up near the wildfires north of Manchester today, the devastation was appalling,it will take a decade to fully recover according to latest reports.
  13. Next week looks really bad, fingers crossed something better will soon appear on the charts. The thought of than cool rain giving everything a fresh clean and spruce up would be fantastic, everything is just looking so dirty, given up trying to clean me car, next day its just covered again,we need some clean Atlantic air to shove this crap from Europe away.
  14. This is slowly turning into one of the toughest summers since the nightmare of 2003. That breakdown is still 10 plus days away, very depressed, tired, lethargic,no energy at all. Thank god for bedroom aircon, couldn't cope without that! I'm very lucky in that i suppose.
  15. Your fortunate then, your able to cope, many and i mean many can't. That wasn't as you say a broad brush statement by any means,i visit 30 plus sites a week, last week everybody was complaining how hot it was for working in. Next week will only make things worse i fear with the increase in humidity.
  16. Totally agree. To be honest i've not found the last week to unbearable, only being stuck in enclosed rooms with no ventilation does it really become very unpleasant, shame that's my job! Next week looks awful, sticky nights, humidity going up. Fingers crossed a breakdown will occur, rain is much needed especially for wildlife..
  17. Yep the worst is still to come i fear, the model output is shocking. Looks like another 2 weeks of misery and sleepless nights to come. Disgusting.
  18. ......i was around in 76 Ed. I've destroyed every blinking photo of me in those flared trousers i had at school!! To be honest really hope this Summer turns out to be one of the best, storms, rain, sun, bit of heat..basically a mixture. Fingers crossed that happens
  19. So basically you don't care. Have you tried in anyway to help wildlife cope? I have,i also did last Winter, all winter, especially in March.
  20. All i was trying to do was to point out the issues involved with this summer,it's not been a few dry warm weeks, its been nearly 2 months of dry warm weather. Wildlife is suffering, the fires in Saddleworth are at the height of the breeding season. I felt the same in March, wildlife suffered then. I don't think caring can be a reason to call anybody selfish. Yes i truly hate this weather, always have,i can't get my head around the notion of anybody who does, even as a child i never enjoyed it. But certain folk have this wish that the next 3 months should be like this..that is as selfish as some idiot wanting sub zero temps in winter for the whole of it,i wouldn't want that by any means, far from it.
  21. We need a lot of rain, folk either don't understand or just are so immature and selfish they don't care. Really ticks me off.
  22. I lived through the summer of 76,i can remember the misery and distress it caused. No water, wildlife decimated,wildfires,pollution...need i go on?
  23. At last a glimmer of hope, fingers crossed the misery will come to a end soon. Working without pouring with sweat would be a dream come true!
