Nice Towers in exactly the same place as yesterday eg around Ashford way, would expect sea breeze to nullify this again and Storms in almost the exact same place as yesterday.
SE turn tomorow and Thursday but even now models dont look that good

100% Bonafide Supercell no doubting that whatsoever
35knts of flow, Moved right of the deviant steering flow
Killed off anything that came near it
Like most Supercells massive uptick in Lightning activity noted when it became surface based west of Macclesfield
All the pictures I have seen show a HP Supercell

And still in Congleton we get nothing, the wait goes on. How can we miss a storm 3 days in a row by a few miles, what's more annoying is that storm went past to the west, now has split to the east just north of my town.
Any Pics from the SE of the Structure ?
-
Anybody in the Sandbach, Holmes Chapel or Congleton area who was SE of that storm please send the structure picture into here please would be very interested to take a look. Certainly behaved like a Supercell would on radar with splitting and moving against the ambient flow

Yes very interesting shape. Possibly rotation looking at the most up to date radar images. Ironically the first meso cyclone was categorised as such over Wokingham in the 70s I believe.
I've got a family member in Wokingham as we speak. I'll give them a shout and ask them what it's like over there. I'm about 12 miles away.
Thanks

Interesting shape to that storm near Wokingham if anybody is in that area

Yes the Notts cell isn't doing a whole lot. Wonder why that is? Still plenty warm up here at 22C and 15C dewpoint.
Look at the winds on XCWeather and I reckon you might find the answer. Same deal as the Norfolk Storms as soon as they get near that Undercut NE Wind they die

Good to hear, thanks mate! Need to go check the models and see if the MCS is still on for the night time, seen a couple of people here saying it's 'on again' after your post this morning saying it looked dead!
Yh coming back onto the 12z suites for sure. Dans not too hopeful for too many sferics at this stage but surprises always crop up, Some take it into East Anglia which would be the worst outcome, some up the Estuary and some offshore into the Channel so guessing this time tomorrow night will be a better indicator

Oh and its 6 years ago today that this happened in Nebraska twin EF4 Tornadoes - Ahhh the good old days
Nothing like that today in the UK but am sure there will be some baby danger noodles as Strimmer calls em somewhere around CZ Zones
