  1. I was thinking along these lines, happened last year with a less moisture laden airmass being moved so still hold some hope!! It was very impressive as I had never seen lightning like it before
  2. Metcheck going a bit bonkers but interesting to see they include the south west as well
  3. Yeah I agree, all factors seemingly in place for once. Just have to wait for closer forecasts for more confident placements. Is wind shear going to play any significant role in this likely breakdown Tuesday night?
  4. Shall hopefully be exciting, the change in heat from North Wales to here was a shock! 24 here today. GFS Cape gets be on my seat but it changes rapidly so not getting hopes up.
  5. Sun has finally popped out here after some moderate to heavy rain this morning. Here's hoping for something later!!
  6. Nothing here as expected but temperatures have reached 24/25 so its excellent.
  7. The core of these storms north of London have rainfall output of well over 100mm/ph. Incredible and there slow moving!
  8. That cell across southern Scotland is continental style, lightning mania!
  9. Well it's been raining since I woke up so very drab! It is expectionally humid however.
  10. I'm talking about Devon in particular, it was poor last year!! Occasional rumble but nothing substantial.
  11. For us thunderstorm desperate folks down here in the south west I think he means
  12. Lets pray together, for once though there is higher temps, slightly higher Cape values and the proper continental heat will move quite far north.
  13. The BBC develop heavy showers/thunderstorms in the south west and possibly extending towards Isle of Wight. GFS is also progging CAPE values into the low 1000's along with some limited wind convergence and -4/-5 lifted index. I am not expecting anything widespread but there is the distinct possibility of a few very intense storms developing. I most happy with the temperatures reaching the low twenties widely!!
  14. Seems to well defined for anaprop and on a large scale so unlikely but considering are luck probably *Netweather radar shows it so 95% certain its a shower
  15. According to the Met office there is a chance of increasingly unsettled weather moving up from the south at the start of next week.It will be humid with the chance of showers or thunderstorms and it could become very warm in the south and West.
  16. I didn't me complain in that sense but like you said haha, I thought nowt was gonna happen but it all happened so late again. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  17. Were you the one complaining earlier? how the weather plays tricks eh haha
  18. A few very loud rumbles then stopped now but no visible lightning lol
  19. Quite impressive and a decent amount of lightning detected.
  20. Towers are impressive here just about to go off I would imagine.
  21. The BBC Graphics have some very intense and well defined cells for tomorrow (Unreliable I know)
  22. That storm in Wales is a beast, especially in terms of Precipitation intensity
  23. Yeah and they start just after I finish my tour of the Met office
