  1. Yeah a short burst of hail here too, could hear it hit the roof from inside. Also sounded like it almost put the windows through as the wind got pretty wild with it. Very strange weather. Looks like the lightning stopped as it got to the central midlands and then started again in the East Midlands.
  2. Wow wasn't expecting that, haven't seen or heard anything, could have been some distant flashes but wasn't looking, still some strong echo's on the radar so ill keep a look out as it passes in case it spits out one or two more sparks.
  3. Nice swirl to this system in Ireland earlier and now over Northern England.
  4. After thinking it would be a completely dry and frosty spell, this snow has certainly made the cold spell feel more worth it, and another possibility through Sunday to the North and some more through Sunday Night and Monday for some of us too. Cant help but feel later this month and especially January/February could bring severe cold with deeper snow with MJO and el nino in our favour not to mention other factors too. Snow has stopped here now, but left a decent covering of around 2cm maybe a touch more.
  5. You might be a about half a cm higher than here but not 100% sure as ive not gone out and done any sort of test lol, but coming down pretty good now seems to be accumulating more rapidly so probably around the same now or soon enough.
  6. Coming down quite thick now, should accumulate more rapidly now if it continues. Listening to some 2010 hits to make it feel abit like Decemebr 2010 while the snow is coming down
  7. Still snowing here, got about 0.5 - 1cm, cant tell in the dark but definitely still snowing.
  8. Don't think ive ever seen drone footage in the snow at night only seen it in the day over snow covered land, good it has RTH else it could be going anywhere with the visibility in the snow lol. Keeping an eye and hoping that the less cold dew points don't come up here before or during we get the heavy snow as the latest radar has rain heading further north around Hereford/Worcester.
  9. Yeah hopefully the really heavy stuff to the WSW can hit us in the next hour or so .
  10. Im guessing by Wednesday it will be much busier in here, as for now already down to below -1c here.
  11. -2 here, everywhere frozen might help the ground to cool down a bit ready for the cold spell next week, especially with the day time temps being in single figures too. Also first gritter seen last night.
  12. Yeah not had any issues until today, especially the last few hours, some parts being quite slow. But it only happens in short intervals then its fine again.
  13. Some of the showers looked threatening today but nothing more than a moderate shower.
  14. Some bigger towers appearing in the cloud breaks from small pop up heavy showers over the midlands. Clearing as i type this though.
  15. Yeah keeping a watch on these, large breaks in them. Wouldn't be surprised they have or will be creating some waterspouts.
  16. If im right in thinking, the curvature on these cells is what we have to watch for possible tornado's in NI and approaching Wales.
  17. Not a direct hit here but managed to see 1 flash and rumble with it with some decent rain. Good to see a little something.
  18. Not much action here today other than a torrential downpour around mid day no thunder heard though even though lightning was detected to the west of Birmingham. As for now a amall heavy shower approaching Telford is giving a nice anvil.
