1. Just a little kitten. Raining over Shef Uni way though. Cloud overhead edging away.
2. Odd spot of rain now. Tower trying to go up over my house and another one to the SE.
3. Sheffield Shield powering up in case these clouds dare think of anything like lightning.
4. Certainly a storm seems to brewing over the keyboard in Lyneham Wilts. In the meantime is the isle of white still there??? Sort of disappeared under Blue and green.
5. Not Amber and it's going to get walloped in the next few hours unless the channel kills it which seems very unlikely.
6. Amber warning for the NE just issued. How come nothing for the Isle of white and just west?
7. Looking the warnings may need shifting across to the west and central areas of the UK unless the track suddenly changes.
8. Seems that way. Clearly it's seen it's earlier babies mortally wounded in the channel so it's decided to follow it's pals journey northward instead. This may end up being a washout for the West and Central England.
9. The winds are SSE. Apart from an convergence at 1000 pha just in the channel. In theory that should help things along but doesn't seem to be.
10. Something maybe brewing for Durham otherwise that Channel is doing a very good impression of the Sheffield shield for the south east. Perhaps they've loaned it.
11. That was the basic jist of the lunchtime forecast although slightly further east. Now will I go out and just get wet tonight or take a waterproof with me.
12. An afternoon of early sunny spells some weak tower building and now overcast and dull. Max temp so far 24.7C now 24.1C Barometer 1005mb falling Wind F2 SSE Rainfall NIl
13. Gone dull and cloudy here now. At the moment it's looking like the channel is weakening everything off for the South east which I believe has been the trend in the last few years. The only question there can they rebuild overland. Slight signs that they can though. I'm beginning too suspect tonight's action will be much further west with heavy rain and the odd flash of lightning. This pushing North into the West Midlands Yorkshire and into the North East.
14. Well the more heavy rain to the west is surviving the trip across the channel while the stuff to the east is suffering badly.
15. Places to be right now are Ireland and in a boat in the channel.
16. Nah it's a swarm of lost French locus.Convection fading away here annoyingly. Funny if the forecast goes tits up so that the SW gets all the action and SE zippo.
17. Ahhh I see the channel of death is at work. Will the storm make it across?
18. Looks like South east will get a little action In a few hours. Now if the temp got a few degrees higher here the two clouds may do something here. Notice to the north of us there's an shower brewing which is typical.
19. Guess you didn't listen properly. It did mention Thundery showers over Scotland and southern England. The ones of southern England merging into a larger area of heavy rain. However the emphasis was on the heavy rain with the odd flash of lightning possible tonight. No mention of widespread thunderstorms at all. I'm happy they're down playing it the more they jump around on TV the less likely anything is to happen. Now since they mention possible two inches of rain tonight I better hold fire on starting my monthly report about being a very dry month.
20. Lunch time forecast really put the nail in the coffin for any widespread storms tonight just mentioning the odd flash lightning possible. Instead the focus was on heavy rain. Local forecast didn't even mention lightning at all but then did say the afternoon would be wet and then in the next breath said it would be mostly dry until evening. All eyes on tomorrow then.
21. I wouldn't write anything off yet but it's behind schedule already. We should know in a few hours though if it's dead duck. God to admit the met office warning is either poorly worded or written in a manner which allows them to be right whatever happens. Are the isolated Thunderstorms in the batch from France or in the possible new area rain which may develop or not?
22.
Looking like it's going to much further south and east than predicted this morning. I may not get this evening after all if I go out.

Not much in the way of lightning either at the moment or it's simply off the map.
