    Skies clearing again no surprise there. As ever dark to the SW east and South East and some nice clouds just gone over the house to create a nice storm elsewhere no doubt.

    Massive tail off in activity now down from 250 strikes a minute 20 minutes ago to 32. Looks like our friend maybe finally running out of energy.

    More of thundery shower really. Only produced 1.1mm of rain while the later showers produced 10mm.

    Been doing it for years it's got to be the layout of the hills round here that causes them to break up. Can't think of anything else. All over here now for the night I expect. Humid horrid and no doubt teased by distant lightning from other storms.

    Anybody want too see how annoying it's been here. Just put s89en in the netweather extra and set to NW original and play the loop. Straight through the middle once again.

    New tease now. Cell gone up the wsw and this will pass to the west of me.

    Seems to be supping the energy from elsewhere that one does.

    Looking to the south for salvation. Maybe some new cells going up that may visit me or join the rest in the shredder. Correction just as type they've been shredded and the gap getting wider.

    I think they're using the new extra scale which always makes things look more lively than they are. The cells staying fixed to the south and South east not moving any closer.

    Just teasing. On the plus side there's enough moisture and heat here to feed for ages if it wants to get to come and feed for abit. Thunder is getting louder so it's trying. People in the east of Sheffield will be happy.

    Not much too see there either I'm afraid. Will have to be home brew stuff that Notts keeps nicking

    Skies brightening sun trying to come out. The remains of the storm are heading towards the eastern side of Sheffield. Storm shredded almost completely here can't see surviving much longer.

    Seems to be stalling and strengthening has reversed. Skies getting brighter again and the split is appearing. So nope another flop by the looks of it. Strike rate now down to 30 a minute

    Head stuck out of the window and can hear Thunder although the skies look less threatening than they did an hour ago. However one the best storms came out off fairly light grey skies.

    So will the Boltek it will blow up in shock. The edge of the storm reached us at 16:10 an hour ago. One bit has gone over and is rebuilding. The main bit can't be far off the top of the Dronfield bypass strike rate up to 120 per minute classed as severe by Boltek for some reason. At the moment it stills seems to be building so fingers crossed.

    Nah thats the Storm bumping into the shield and bouncing off and falling to bits.

    A weak thundery shower early doors then the nothing much to mention. Brief spell of humid warm sunshine now humid with odd spot of rain as the Sheffield shield calmly destroys another storm. Sadly the hot spell going out with a whimper once again

    A disappointing day storm wise a weak thundery shower just after five O'clock a heavier rain shower and dry until now with another shower trying to make into Sheffield. Max temp 23.8C Barometer 1012mb Wind F2 SE Rainfall 11mm
