  1. Weather warnings say isolated Thunderstorms for us. I've noticed the T storm symbol for the local forecast has re-appeared but moved to Saturday night rather than Sunday. I'm just expecting to get rather wet while out and nothing much else.
  2. Over excited forecast this lunchtime. Bodes badly for any activity this weekend then. The more understated the bigger the event.
  3. Sunny spells with increasing cloud cover Temp 22.7C Barometer 1011 rising Wind F1 SW Rainfall Nil
  4. Sunny spells and broken cloud slightly cooler than previous mornings but still mild. Temp 15C Barometer 1012 rising Wind Calm Rainfall Nil
  5. |Thunderstorms back on tonight's forecast for Sheffield on Sunday. Yeh right I've heard that before.
  6. LOL I was going to say that. Horribly right now. Blowing hot humid air round the house. Doors and windows open.
  7. Too far south as expected. Sunday looks rather doubtful as well here but time will tell.
  8. A humid day with a light shower. Max temp 24.7C Barometer 1010mb steady Wind F3 SW Rainfall 0.4mm
  9. A mild start with patchy cloud after overnight light rain Temp 15.6C Barometer 1011mb falling Wind F2 SSW Rainfall 0.4mm
  10. A very warm day once more. Mostly dry with sunny spells but late afternoon cloud bubbled up enough to give the odd spot of rain. Max Temp 25C Barometer 1012mb falling Wind Calm Rainfall 0.2mm
  11. Storms North Midlands northwards tomorrow??? I'm sure Schaffernakka said that. As for the weekend stuff we severe was said which means they'll be little unless you live in Notts.
  12. Net weather extra showing some lightning of the towards the south west. Perhaps the least potential shall provide the most entertainment excluding Notts of course who've had enough excitement for now.
  13. A pleasant enough day although got a little sticky as the day went on some clouds bubbling up but apart from a couple of spots rain a dry day.
  14. Sunny Sheffield back up 18.3C so the cool weekend had a big effect considering we were only 0.1C difference at one stage.
  15. Well have to hope for the unexpected today. All eyes on Saturday but thats looking too far south and east for me.
  16. Oh well yesterdays rainfall stopped any chance of a new record so up to around 17mm for the month.
  17. A bright start with with Sunny spells and mild Temp 15.5C Barometer 1013mb rising Wind Calm Rainfall since Midnight nil
  18. What a disappointing day. Promised much when I got up before five but the storm was duly shredded by shield. The next back had everything but rain stripped out and the evening stuff was sucked up by the Nottingham cell. So one weak thundery shower one heavy rain shower then distant thunder and mostly light rain then light rain again but no thunder.
  19. Scud clouds Scud clouds, a type of fractus cloud, are low, detached, irregular clouds found beneath nimbostratus or cumulonimbus clouds. These clouds are often ragged or wispy in appearance. When caught in the outflow (downdraft) beneath a thunderstorm, scud clouds will often move faster than the storm clouds themselves. When in an inflow (updraft) area, scud clouds tend to rise and may exhibit lateral movement ranging from very little to substantial.
  20. Wrong place. Just needed a red warning for Notts and forget everybody else. Any rain totals for the Nottingham area as they must be impressive.
  21. DEw point and temp dropped off 2c here another nail in the coffin. Always tomorrow frustration too look forward too.
