Had a lucky escape this morning, tree branch came within inches of taking out my front windscreen.
Back home now brew in hand, pondering tomorrows out come with fingers crossed.
And seeing as i'm off for the next two days will be hoping for some white reason to go for a long long walk.
Stay safe out there and if you do get what you want enjoy and make the most of it

2016 will be quickly forgotten about sums up my feelings
But did enjoy the dry Autumn period which made a pleasant change from the norm.
Nearly time to roll the dice again, snake eyes or a double six, only time will tell.

Chin up everyone
Still on the cards for a colder period late month, maybe not snow for most but overnight freezing fog drifting over everything for a nice white rime coat is better than nothing surly

I can see crippling blizzards arriving over Christmas and heralding 4 months of frequent snowstorms with -20 uppers bombarding us from the north and east on a weekly basis. I expect most of the UK to be snowed in from December 28th to April 6th so panic buying from supermarkets is highly recommended . This cold spell will make winter 1962/63 look like December 2015
lassie are you in fact James the Mad-en in disguise.
Count me in please SQ1, always up for a bit of ramping banter
Express exclusive shocker
Shoppers warned not to venture out at 3am boxing day morning for the Next sale as Arctic blast predicted to turn uk into a fozen waste land.

Come on Scotland time to join the party for a while
southern Sweden still waiting but i suspect not for long
Finland now has it's winter coat on
Would be interesting to find out what temps the water in a triangular area between Northern Scotland, Iceland and Norway is currently
Spent many happy years in that region carrying out hydrographic work
Only Alaska to go before we have cover 60N

For the past 13 years i have been going to a show in Telford that always falls on the rememberance weekend.
There has only been two years out of that time period that have been cold.
The last and best of those two was over 6 years ago when the temp was reading -7 when i left home

Dec, mainly mild and wet, PM air at times giving snow to hills, above average rain and temps
Jan, mainly mild, Atlantic lows to dominate, snow at times in Scotland as lows move away in the PM air, flooding possible, above average temps and rain
Feb, less mild generally, coolest month of the winter, snow down to low levels in the north during PM shots, wet, but not as wet as Dec and Jan
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I hope you are so wrong, cant take another Winter like that

Yes Nouska,
a far more pronounced growth in the advance of the annual snow fields north of 60, however i feel that this year we could see this reach 55 north.
Would love it to reach a lower latitude posibly 50 north but thats dream land at present

temp currently 10.1
light fog now starting to clear

Yes, count me in more than happy to assist

surely you wouldn't want to deny them their fix .
No I would not, really hope that all on the forum get a little bit of what they want, what ever comes our way.
Anything remotely like a good old fashioned late Autumn/ winter period should cover all the bases I think.

The streamers coming from the Cheshire gap would normally fill me with dread but this time it has delivered the goods big time.
It's stunning outside,
Hope you all get a dusting further south
