  1. Outside isn't too bad. If it was the weekend I'd get the laptop on, sleeping bag out and do Glasto on Thames!
  2. according to my sensor it's 22 outside but 28 indoors still. Rollon the breakdown
  3. Fog!!! Man alive, it's still 24 C here and that's ourside. Indoors is a fair bit higher. another crap night's sleep
  4. Hit 32 C here in the shires and very much capped. Not a sign of cloud anywhere.
  5. Meanwhile I have beautiful blue skies and temps of 30 C fuelling the storms further north!
  6. It's a lovely morning here. Feeling fresh at 16 C. As ever with storms I watch with interest and expect nothing. We can have the fue for a fire, but unless it's lit, we're going to get nothing. Making most of the cool to get some work done before the insane heat later. Good luck everyone, but it's really not worth getting upset if nothing materialises. But let the chase commence!
  7. We grow them south of the Thames, they build and start to initiate in the chilterns and BOOM! Milton Keynes cops the lot! That said we had one cracker last year, Took a hole out of Waitrose and blew the windows in at the school . After that we got naff all! Stiil you gotta hope!
  8. I'm just north of the M4 and there's nada going on here apart from a bit of haze
  9. I was just thinking that. It's murky here. The skies look drizzly rather than convective and it's quite dull. That said I'm making the most of the relatively cool temperature!
  10. Is there any reasom why Lincs/ Cambridge/ N. Norfolk seem to get more storm action than the rest of the country?(I say seem as I don't know if this is true, but it seems to be where the best storms occur?)
  11. Hit 30 here now. Humidity is less than yesterday so not feeling too uncomfortable. That said not looking forward to going to the (non air conditioned) gym later
  12. 28.6 C here so could easily top yesterday's 29.1! I can bear the daytime heat if only the nights were cooler. Still I can't complain. My daughter sent me a picture of her car dashboard yesterday and the temperature was 48C !!!!! Now that's hot. Still if you go and live in a desert what do you expect?
  13. Kicking off over there again I see on blitzortung
  14. Shows just how local storms are.Moderate rain for a few minutes as we were on the periphery of that. The rainfall amounts looked impressive. Wind was our most notable feature here. Lots of debris on the roads and pavements
  15. Just had the Oxford cell skirt past to my north. Got some thunder and gusty winds out of it, but missed the soaking by a couple of miles
  16. Storm just skirted round me. Couple of good rumbles and a couple of rogue gusts. First thunder of the year!Whhopppp
  17. Yeah, a nice disrinct line running NW of me. Sferics to the west of Oxford,
