  1. Yeah but unmodelable, a small but intense feature that crops up hours before impact. Is my take. John Holmes is the expert.
  2. Sun's out and a rapid melt of overnight snow is taking place. If this was Dec or Jan we would have been buried. Forecasters got it spot on IMO. Hats off to them.
  3. Blowing up now the winds, heavy precipitation, loads of flakes but its wet. Wind appears to NE or at least North of East.
  4. Had a whole hour whiteout Backtrack about 3.15 - 4.15 Took half an hour of really intense, heavy snow, to start settling again after thaw
  5. Been almost 6 years since I left Manchester, saw a few decent falls since the epic 2010 one, mainly whilst at work just south of Stockport. Moving to Llandudno, got told it never shows here, indeed my daughters school mates had never seen local snow apparently. Until it snowed Dec 2017, 6 months after we moved. Had a few decent falls since. 2 this year. Got a bit of altitude above the town and that makes a massive difference. But Manchester? 1996, 2009, 2010. And hundreds of minor/non events!
  6. Isle of Man has been "red" all day. Must be some impressive scenes there?
  7. It was really heavy snow in Abergele this morning. Worst I saw though was between Holywell and Mold.
  8. Turned back to moderate snow now here. Although whether it will settle again on the sodden surfaces is doubtful.
  9. Been hammering down with rain for the last half hour. About to head back up, bet its washed away on the Orme too.
  10. Looks like it's gonna stop soon here. If the next area hits us it will likely be rain I think until the wind veers
  11. A good few inches in places at Great Orme summit. Met office has us down for more overnight
  12. Rapid thaw on in North Wales if its any consolation. Just walked up to the Great Orme summit, good covering and a good few inches in places. For now!
  13. Had to abandon commute to Wrexham earlier. Visibility appalling around Mold/ Holywell. Heavy lying snow. Home now to a covering.
  14. Been here nearly 6 years now, formerly Chorlton that's why I still look in on the North West thread. Its happened a few times this year. Most years there can be at least some snow cover on the Orme but not in town.
  15. North Wales getting hammered, just had to turn back home on commute, lost control of car but luckily avoided hitting anything. Worst area between Holywell and Mold. Chucking it down back home here in Llandudno
  16. You are looking in the wrong direction Mark. I was too. Check Sat24 Its out due west or WNW
