  1. In order to get to the right side of the first supercell we tried to cut ahead of it but got a bit of large hail. The roads were white with hail. Apologies for swear words.
  2. Was a fantastic day with a sting in the tail - Started with a magician at a gas station - briiiant supercells - large hail videos to post but will try and post photos.
  3. it takes nothing this year to cause a flood.
  4. Every thing looked good until mid day. Every chaser was in Colorado for what was expected to be a big day. The weather thought better about that and managed to let everyone down. The day had some good points and we were in good company in Limon. Tom
  5. cant call what we listen to music. Storms good though
  6. Drove up from drizzley Texas into the sunshine of Colorado. Waited around for a long while. Saw some storms, lovely. Supercells HP, Classic and LP s supercells.
  7. Other locals make an appearance, better to avoid these though.
  8. Paul found the team a motel where we could sit and wait for the storm to hit, eating pizza and drinking soda pops. PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED< IT CONTAINS BAD LANGUAGE
  9. On the road to Junction City we came across some locals who did not want to move out of our way. Sorry about the swearing.
  10. was another good day. Had lots of things to video. Nick gave a weather forecast
  11. Two photos of today courtesy of John Finney Tom
  12. We stayed over night in Decatur, Texas. A large tornadic storm was heading in our direction. Although we saw no tornado or heard sirens going off it made for an interesting evening. The storm raged on through the night with various warnings going off through the night.
  13. This next bit is for young Sam when I say get in the car I mean get in the car , lightning can strike without prior warning. Although when they are pounding the ground and getting closer to you, that is generally a sign that may, just may, need to get into the car.
  14. We sat on a bridge over the Red River and watched a cell with lots of rotation moving away to the north. It did drop a tornado but wouldnt have seen it as it was embedded in the rain. A cell moving up from the south west looked interesting so we set off to intercept and meet up with Arron and Ashley.
  15. twas another good day mostly rain wrapped , but we saw glimpses of exciting stuff briefly This was the first storm
  16. So there was no turning back and getting hit by the oncoming storm was not a good option either. Some folks didnt want to attempt the floods but we had no alternative our choices were limited. So we watch to see if anyone could make it and once we saw it was possible we went for it. Hoping that the wakes from the vehicle in front didnt cause a problem and with guidance from Paul about which course to take we made it. Lots of over flooded road to get through but this was the worse bit. its now 3.40am and time for bed Tom
  17. We battled through flooded roads passed cars that had been swept into the ditches drivers trying to get their belongs out to safety only to find that our way north was flooded too. So we sat behind some vehicles that did not want to attempt going through what was a river. At this point a severe storm was closing in on us, torrential rain , deadly lightning and golf ball size hail. We considered turning round only to find the road behind was now impassible. It was strange sitting there watching large hail floating passed you.
