  1. Flashing flooding has been a problem this year
  2. Once we got in front of this storm we had to keep ahead of it.
  3. well had some exciting moments but the day kind of ended up a damp squid. However we saw some interesting bits and pieces. We had 3.5 inches sized hail coming in so ha to put our foot down to get ahead of it,.
  4. I have to apologise In my haste to post video last night I posted them in the wrong place. I am sure one of the administrators will move them for me. Thank you sorry about the stupid way that my hat is but was taking photos and peak got in the was.
  5. slightly confused but will stick this video on
  6. first try and was a good attempt sorry about the hat need to turn it to take photos.
  7. So we decided not waste the time hanging round and washed of the underneath of the vans , in a puddle. The museum did look interesting. We have spent the night in Childress, The Days Inn, ah fond memories.
  8. We sat and waited to see what was going to happen with the three cells we were watching. Paul looked at them and could see that they were not exploding and was concerned that the dry line had moved east. It had. Although at one point we could see storms building up to the west of our target cells. You can see them through the gap.
  9. Not sure which video this is could be two storms firing on the dry line or a turtle.
  10. The day didn't pan out as expected . May be mother nature hadn't read the SPC discussion. However on the drive down from Mulvane Kansas a huge storm blew up over Lawton Ok. No one knows why a storm developed where it did but it reached an altitude of 50,000 feet. Nice to see. We stopped south of Lawton and gambled on one of three cells that blew up on the dry line doing the business. However the dry line move east and messed our day. Here you can see the storm over Lawton. It was huge we could see it a hundred miles away.
  11. Saw some flooding and went through a town that was pretty flooded.
  12. Second cell sat forever over one area dumping rain.
  13. First cell that we watched east of Salina Kansas
  14. This year has seen some of the worst flooding that we have experienced . This is from tour 1 and i filmed this before we hit a second area of flooding. Other vehicles were not that lucky. When you have water running across the road at 90 degrees it can cause disorientation. You need a second pair of eyes to keep you on course. Turning round was not an option. I am sure there are some swear words.
  15. I will Paul give you the details about today. We sat east of Salina and watched storms developing. One looked interesting but struggled. The main cell that we concentrated on sat motionless for more than an hour and dumped 5 inches of rain on the same area. When we passed through that area we could see the flooding. Ended the day in Mulvane Kansas, We post some video and photo from today. Tom
  16. There was a reported tornado in this location. I saw rotation on the ground, I cant say it was one but it might have been.
