  12. Paul took some stunning photographs containing insane lightning. He is his FB report to be going on with. What an amazing chase day in Western Oklahoma today. A pair of LP Supercells broke the Cap around 6pm and put on a stunning display of Structure and Mammatus, the Southern cell had 2 white rope funnels only 1/3 of the way to the ground. Some bad grass fires were started from Positive Cg bolts raining out of the anvil. Ended the chase down by Mangum with beautiful red skies and lightning raining down around us. They are currenty overnighting in Elk City , Oklahoma. A place where I seem to remember seeing some bikers with a cofin on a trailer. Tom

  16. For anyone interested in why Woodward is their target area see image Woodward is just to the right of the low pressure and dryline in Oklahoma. Good call Tom
  17. For anyone interested in why Woodward is their target area so image Woodward is just to the right of the low pressure and dryline in Oklahoma. Good call Tom
  18. Well Paul likes both types of models On a serious note. The team are going for the slight risk today in Oklahoma This was Paul's message earlier. 'Target area today Woodward - Early start for us today already heading south through Kansas' On another note I am a life long member of the library in Woodward. Tom
  19. Paul will be able to update this once he has had a good look at the models (weather) There could be a quandary because there is a slight today in Oklahoma. After which the action is back in the high plains. Question do you turn your back on the slight in order to give you a couple of extra chase days. It is a bit of a trek back to DFW but that's another day in the office for a stormchaser. Wouldn't it be nice if it was all in one area for the whole season. Like 'Twister the movie' Watch this space Tom
  20. Fingers crossed for you Martin
  21. Thanks John Brilliant photos , as always , nice to know you have retained all those photographic skills that I taught you when we sent off with our Kodak Brownie . Interesting factoid Lake McConaughy is locally know as Big Mac . Tom
  22. Today I have to say Kansas looks nice with a dryline and an outflow boundary in place. Will have to wait until Paul wakes up and looks at the various options. Tom
  23. Will be extra romantic cos my wife's friend Ann is coming along too.
