  1. A shot taken by Sandra Dharmasena Sandra's first ever lightning shot Sandra took a lovely panorama but i cant share that yet Tom
  2. With storm chasing , patience is a virtue. So the team waited and got a nice supercell for their trouble. Its been a poor year for tornadoes. Strange there were seemingly two today ,one in Montana and one in New Mexico. Talk about splitting the differences. Even odder was a tornado report yesterday from Nevada. Tom
  3. Hi Justin Graham and i will be arriving around 4.30ish on the 29th. We plan to go eat at Aspen Creek. it is walking distance from the motel. Tom
  4. A weather watch has been issued for their target area the watch covers eastern Wyoming, a section of north Colorado, western South Dakota and western section of Nebraska. Large hail and damaging wind gusts. Sever storms can produce a tornado. So we can expect some good photos. Tom
  5. The team are currently having lunch in Fort Morgan - in a diner. Target area to be refined as they move north , however there has been an MD issued for eastern Wyoming, a part of the Nebraska border and the MD just covers a small area of northern Colorado. Mesoscale discussion. A mesoscale discussion (MD) is a short-term technical weather forecast (and nowcast) issued by the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) national guidance centers. It is looking to issuing a weather watch with the potential for severe weather. Large hail and strong winds. Tom
  6. Shall be looking forward to that Paul. Tom
  7. A couple of photos from Sandra Dharmasena taken in Colorado of supercell at sunset.
  8. Wednesday 23rd May thoughts Team currently in Limon and may need an earlyish start if they are going for the Nebraska/South Dakota area. It could be over 250 miles. nothing in the grand scheme of things. Tom
  9. Hi Justin. They didnt get a chance to go near Area 51. Tom
  10. The team are currently overnighting in Limon, Colorado. Photos and reports will be posted later Tom
  11. Update from the team. After a lunch stop in Chewmycanary , New Mexico, the team wended their way through the Panhandles into Texas, Oklahoma, and then into Colorado.. Storms where moving in from the Rockies their direction was to the north east. Here is a brief but artistic account from Paul. 'What an amazing day. Targeted Lamar to Limon as a target and a beautiful Supercell or 2 rolled through that area in the late afternoon and evening. Props to NAM which nailed this. Just a sneak peak off the back of Paul Hunters Camera (IPhone shot) but some stunning pictures were taken today. Ending the day in Limon.' I have attached a radar grab which I took a couple of hours before interception took place. Shortly after this the storm went severe warned. I I am sure the team will post some stunning photos later. Tom
  12. Three photos from our guest Sandra Dharmasena Nick after eating his sandwich. There must have been something in the sandwich other than olives. Donald Trumps brother setting off to patrol the border Baron system show the team where they are in relation to the storm we are the white dot in the middle. Thank you to Sandra for allowing us to share these. Tom
  13. A couple of photos from one of our guests Sandra Dharmasena Mammatus clouds Watching the storm near Vernon, Texas Dharm
  14. Where now ? it looks like the next main area of activity is going to be up in high plains and so i guess a long haul may be required. Depending on the route the team will be taking they will going through some of the most beautiful scenery. However mother nature can always surprise you, it wouldnt be the first time i went to bed in an area which was deemed to be our target area only to be woken up at 1.15am by Paul informing us that we had a 600 mile drive north to get into a new target area, or spend the day in drizzle. Setting off at 8am. Tom
  15. The team are currently overnighting in Roswell, New Mexico. where things stranger than Nick have been reported. They look to be getting hit by overnight severe storms at the moment. So stories to be told. As long as its not just what they had for breakfast. Tom
  16. Once rested from all their eating i am sure the team will have some fantastic photos which they will be posting later. Tom
  17. After their tea had been eaten they chased in and around Corona strange really cos Nick drinks a lot of that. Here is Paul's on the chase story : Decent day today - Got on 2 Supercells in New Mexico - Headed upto Vaughn then dropped South West to Corona for a pretty LP Supercell which was North West of the Roswell Storm. Pictures to come later LP (Low precipitation) normally means not as much rain.
  18. What else was in the sandwich Nick, didnt know you didnt like olives. Must make a mental note about that. Tom
  19. If anyone is interested in what New Mexico can deliver. Here is what we chased there in June 2014 Near Roswell too. I have feeling it was a similar weather set up to todays i think, (might be wrong but)
  20. I am sure some of the team want to post some of their photos from that afternoon/evening. John Finney took some spectacular photos. They chased around Vernon Texas. Tom
  21. TOUR 2 Monday 21 May I believe that the team stopped in Amarillo last night. This will put them in place for a chase in New Mexico. It looks like New Mexico could provide some nice cells today. Another Roswell would be nice. There is a 2% tornado risk which could be around the Carlsbad area. An area which we have chased many a time. Tom
  22. So it was you calling people dropouts as well as moaning and being negative On a serious note . Have a great tour 2 and I am looking forward to catching up with you on the 30th May.
