  10. You are the weatherman, you tell me.
  11. Storm chasing isnt always about storms. Not who took the above , It could have been John Finney, it could have been me. I dont need to tell you who this is - Chicken George Got to stop at the state line for the obligatory team photo Not all the super heroes died in the making of this movie Doctor Josh sharing memories with Chicken George.
  12. I have to agree that the signs are pointing to an increase in severe weather potential. However as we know the the weather has dynamic fluidity which can tend to leave us all high and dry. Although I am not on tour 2 the prognosis is favorable. Tom
  13. Some more from 2017 this day brought us to Amarillo - you can see the city lights under the storm
  14. Not wishing to be outdone here are a few images from 2017 chase trip - This chap not just high in mountains but high as well Obviously Chick George enjoys a good chase. We pulled up in lay bay for a fag and attracted a couple more cars of the same ilk , spooky. Yes that is me in mid June in the snow , in shorts - an afternoon trip into the mountains. Tom
  15. Good move Paul Hope you and the guests get to see some nice CGs. Lesson one they must shout CG !!! when they see one. Lesson two: dont leave your tri-pod on its own in extreme winds. Tom
  16. Good luck to tour 1 not too bad a slog 700/800 miles ish depending on actual target area and everyone getting in on time, and in time to allow the team to get away on Tuesday.. Springfield Mo is about 430 miles. Some guests will certainly be hitting the ground running. . Tom
  17. Graham and I are travelling out from Heathrow on the 29th May flight BA 193 and will aim to be at Wetherspoon Express prior to the gate being announced. For all guests travelling out on the flight we will exchange mobile numbers so we can meet up. Tom
  18. Graham the place where we normally meet 'Crown Rivers' has changed its name and is called Wetherspoon Express. So if any guests are travelling on our flight. I suggest they aim for there. We can get mobile numbers nearer the time. It is passed security.
  19. oooh I can feel the excitement from here. Counting down trying to remember what it is that you might forget. There is a Walmart next door open 24 hours. Tom
  20. I am now insured to travel. 4 weeks to go before we fly out. Tom
  21. Insurance update. Well i have to say i received a shock when i started to arrange for my travel insurance and found out that Dogtag had an age limit of 64. I looked around for an alternative and found none, well none that I would like to trust. Some companies didnt know what storm chasing was when i explained they said no. So being slightly irritated i sat down and made a complaint to Dogtag. I have made use of their services for several years and now i find that i am too old, Surprisingly I received a reply from a director of the company. i explained my situation and that 65 was not old these days. He understood and took the matter to his next board meeting. They agreed to allow the director to approach the underwriters. This he did successfully. As a result Dogtag have introduced a new band onto their insurance which covers all those people between 65 and 69. So i am now happy and insured. This is so off the press some at Dogtag are not aware about the new banding. Send a message to me if you have any problems obtaining your insurance with them. Price isnt too bad considering. Tom
