  1. Hmmm, interesting - although the BBC are still showing rain and sleet for tomorrow, the maximum temperature is now showing as 4c, and the temperature actually falls a few hours into the precipitation, before it eventually rises very slowly (still only to a maximum of 3c however) Any chance we could get a surprise tomorrow?
  2. BBC going for 6C for your location, and a maximum of 8C in the centre of London according to the latest news channel forecast. Not overly cold granted, but not particularly mild either
  3. Still plenty of Winter left though On another note, 'The Weather Channel' has me under snow showers from tomorrow morning between 6 and 8, anyone know what feature this is coming from, I didn't think we were due any tomorrow?? I've found their forecasts pretty accurate of late.
  4. Hopefully that was just the taster of things to come guys!!! Bring on the raging easterly and proper dumping in the next few weeks!
  5. OK thanks BBC has us under snow from 8 - 11am. Will probably change though
  6. What are the chances for the medway area tomorrow morning please anyone?
  7. Is it my imagination or is the system stalling or least slowing down?
  8. No idea why the radar says rain or sleet (no snow for anywhere ) but I can confirm it is snowing very heavily and settling rapidly! If it carries on like this then the MET Office's 'worst case scenario' (up to 10cm) might not seem so impossible?
  9. Definitely snow flakes mixed in with the rain in my part of town, mostly rain as yet though
  10. Very reassuring to see people having snow settling on soaking wet ground, that was my worry
  11. Heavy sleet now. I have a feeling this thread will crash soon lol
  12. Did you miss my edit? A wet sleety flake went past a minute ago, it's starting....
  13. After staring at the lampost for about 30 seconds for the first time this evening, I can confirm that we have............ .........rain here in Rochester. EDIT: Something resembling a wet sleety flake just flew past. It's getting exciting...
  14. That's what three years (for most of us) of snow starvation does to us! The first slushy mess that's forecast sends everyone into a frenzy! You've got to laugh really. Seriously though, I hope everyone gets lucky tonight, we've been patient so long, we deserve this, we NEED it!
  15. But isn't that between 3 & 6pm as opposed to at 6pm if you see what I mean?
  16. I went away for about 5 minutes and 13 new posts!! I can't keep up! And the snow has even started yet....
  17. What are your views on snow to lover levels Steve? Is the PPN heavy enough for snow to settle on extremely wet ground?
