  1. *Stormforce~beka* You cant get lunch at walmart no such thing as sandwiches or a meal deal..they dont do proper bacon its just cheap rashers and nothing else..gammon just doesn't exist at all ..potatoes are garbage either yellow or russets and thats it ..choice of vegetables is pretty limited..fresh meat and fish forget it..mainly frozen and thawed out (sold as fresh)..mind you you can get your car fixed/serviced at walmart if you want..cashpoints are mainly inside the bank or you may find one at the mall (inside a bank lol)..can only cross the road at designated cross walks or traffic lights..people tend to go to bars/Restaurants or hybrids..which are located in shopping districts there is no town centre so to speak..no such thing as a pub crawl they are all far apart. i have lived in Canada so long now i dont really miss things in the UK..but when i do come home always have a Chinese, Indian & trip to the chippy..i always spend a day at the beach even if the weather is sheet and wonder in amazement at the countryside.
  2. *Stormforce~beka* everyday things are different that you never really thought of..like going to Walmart is totally different to going to Tesco for example.the store layouts are different and everyday consumables that you take for granted in the UK just don't exist here..pubs don't exist..the way you bank is different people still write cheques etc..when i first came here i couldn't find a cash point where i would find them in the UK..Takeaways are not the same.. no popping to the local chippy, Chinese or Indian ..if you like burgers and pizza fill your boots!..jay walking is a crime here..the way the traffic lights change is different and you can turn right on a red light which you cant in the UK..If you dont have correct change on transit you cant get on..jeez they dont even have cashless transport system..i could go on
  3. *Stormforce~beka* you would think that Canada would be easy...because everybody speaks English ..but its totally different to the UK
  4. SollyOlly its garbage..nobody wants this kind of sheet after a lovely warm spring weekend.

  7. its strange to think that in reality 43c in Edmonton Alberta should be more likely than the UK...however the hottest temperature ever recorded here is 37.2c back in 1937
  8. the geese are back sure sign of spring here
